My greatest regret about Wellshire is that we didn’t find it sooner. If my mother had been able to start her assisted living years in the arms of Wellshire, I believe that she would still be the bright active person who entered assisted living six years ago. Instead she was at a facility that cared only for their convenience and the speedy payment of her bill. This is not the case at Wellshire. Last week we celebrated her birthday at the beautiful Bellagio Room at Wellshire. First of all, the Bellagio Room is gorgeous. My large family (45 people) easily fit in. They were able to move around, eat and chat. The extra chairs that Vincent cheerfully provided were perfect to facilitate conversation. Ralph, the chef at Wellshire, did a splendid job catering the event. His fruit and vegetable trays were gorgeous and the chicken casserole he prepared was wonderful. Everyone commented on how delicious and beautiful the food was. Although I didn’t expect it, I appreciated that Ralph stayed through the entire event, replenishing the trays and cleaning up. After the party was over, he helped me get the leftovers into my car. I believe Ralph went above and beyond for me in this instance. Christian, the director at Wellshire, suggested Ralph’s catering. It was a great idea. Everyone in my family was impressed by Wellshire. They kept telling me how kind and helpful the staff was to them. My cousin from Indianapolis is on the volunteer boards of a number of places where he lives and he said he had never seen any place as beautiful, clean and efficiently run as Wellshire. Christian, the director, was marvelous. I so appreciated the easel he provided. It made viewing the poster of my mother’s life so much easier for everyone. In the process of planning and preparing for the party, I got too nervous and called him frequently. He was so patient with me and all of his suggestions were excellent. It was especially nice that Teddy, the head nurse, stopped by the party. I believe it demonstrated Wellshire’s sincere care and concern for my mother beyond that of a routine patient. From the bottom of my heart I am honestly grateful, Claudia Anne Katz, daughter of Dorothy Swartz

The Ponds is very nice. They have very good staff. I heard that it has recently been sold to a big company so I hope that they maintain the level of care they are providing. The facility is extremely clean, and the food is good.
