Thankful daughter

From the moment my father walked through the front door he was embraced by the staff of Sunrise. He spent his last two years at Sunrise battling dementia. They cared for him with love and respect and treated him like family. Even when he was challenging they gave him respect and love. I never worried when I left because I knew he was safe. All of the staff there are my heroes. They are an excellent group of people. I will always consider them part of my family and will be forever thankful for the wonderful care he received there.

We liked Sunrise of Barrington because it was not very big and seemed more personable. We liked that there were bathtubs in the rooms instead of just showers. They gave us good chocolate chip cookies.

We really liked Sunrise of Barrington. We liked the quality of the staff, the layout, the services, and the entire atmosphere of the place. Everything was a positive. They also had a lot of activities for their residents.

I thought Sunrise was fine and would have been a good choice, but it’s my mother’s choice. The staff was very accommodating, and the administrator provided me all the information and help that she could. It seemed to be clean.

I looked at Sunrise of Barrington for my mother. It was very good and very similar to the other facility. They have good activity programs but were higher priced. The dining area had a homey atmosphere. I would recommend Sunrise.

Sunrise of Barrington was old and located right off the main street without much grass around. The building and the parking lot were made of cement. The rooms were small and needed some updating. However, the ground floor was nice because it was lighter with a little patio on the outside. The staff was helpful and answered all of our questions.

Sunrise of Barrington was a very nice place. The people gave us the tour and followed up on the phone were very friendly and very helpful. And even after I told them that we couldn't use their services, they went out of their way to contact me if they heard about something they thought that I might be able to use. They just seemed to go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with that part of it. Some of these places I called were like so cold, and I didn’t even want to go see them.

Sunrise of Barrington is really nice. It is independent and assisted living. It is very good, very appealing, and clean. The staff seemed engaging and anxious to answer any question. I'm an RN, so it has met my standards. I didn't really get into the activities because I was more interested in the facility itself. I engage with a lot of people, but I also like my quiet time, so it gives you both opportunities.

The staff at Sunrise of Barrington seemed very friendly and helpful, and the apartments were very nice, spacious, and clean. The dining room was open and bright with a variety of differently sizzed tables. They had a wide variety of things -- they had chair exercises, bingo, card games, and entertainment. It was very bright and clean.

The visit that we had at Sunrise of Barrington was great. The room that I saw was nice and it was well lit. We asked about the cost and the facility is too expensive for us. The staff that entertained us was excellent and she was very helpful.
