My wife moved into Gurnee Place Memory Care. It is nice and comfortable. They have nice cushions, davenports, and chairs every place around. They have afternoon breaks, puzzles, and games. I like the place. They have exercises, and they read the paper to them. Somebody brought in homemade musical instruments, and then they had the old-time radio playing all the time. All of the caregivers are very friendly.

Gurnee Place Memory Care doesn't have that many people, which I thought was nice. I chose my mom to be there because they gave me the best deal as far as price goes, and one staff member had her mother in there and said, "I was going to take her to a different place that her doctor was at, but then that costs twice as much." So far, I'm very impressed with them. The place looks excellent. They run a real good ship and everybody is very nice. My mother actually fits right in, and I was amazed. The value for the money is very good too.

Autumn Leaves of Gurnee is all for memory care, and it's a very nice community. When we visited they were doing some kind of a presentation with the residents. It's newer compared to its sister community and looked very nice with nice grounds. The rooms were OK and had two different types. They had a room that you can share with another memory care person and private rooms. You can take your own furniture but obviously not very much.

I went to Autumn Leaves of Gurnee and they have mailboxes and mirrors to direct them back to their rooms if they happen to get lost. They have an outside garden. The facility was great. The staff was wonderful and took the time to give me a tour and explain and give me a lot of information. They have assisted care, but I went to see the memory care for respite care or daycare.

I transitioned my grandmother to Autumn Leaves Gurnee and could not be more pleased with the level of service I personally received during the process. There was a lot of items that needed to be coordinated and the staff was extremely helpful. We visited many housing options in the area and found Autumn Leaves of Gurnee to be the best of them all from a benefit/cost standpoint. Strongly encourage anyone looking for a place to care for a loved one to check them out!

Autumn Leaves of Gurnee was beautiful and brand new. Scott, the director, was wonderful. My mother's only objection to it was because there were 18 residents living there out of the 46 rooms available, it was too quiet. My mother is a social person. I thought it was beautiful and nice, and I liked that it was all memory care versus a community home with a memory unit. I like the way it was setup with the colors and the rooms, and it looked like there was a lot of care taken in the design of the building. My parents have been invited to several events. I feel good about them inviting my parents to do things, and I thought Scott was a nice guy.
