My mother was in the nursing home of Heritage Woods of Dwight. We felt that it was very mediocre, she did not get help when she needed it, and she had a terrible roommate. It was not good. The nursing care by the nurses was excellent, and the therapy people were excellent, but the nurse aides were not good. She had PT for five days and she was out of there. They need to remodel the building, it's very old, and the rooms are so tiny for two people.

Heritage Woods of Dwight was a nice facility. It's a 2-story facility which is a little strange for assisted living because elderly and stairs are not a good combination. It's new so it still has that new car smell, and it was nice. The hallways were a little narrow, and the rooms were a little small, but it was alright. It didn't ring my bell, but it's OK.

Absolutely terrible! This place is quite the catch from the outside. My mother was always depressed having to live and sit by individuals who needed to go to a nursing home for more care! She would complain about the way people smelled, how the ate, and even how they looked. The adminstrator does not care about the needs of these poor people, she just seemed more worried about collecting my mothers paycheck. My mother was on a monthly allowance of less than 50 dollars a month in which she was suppose to use to buy her necessities.... This glorified nursing home drained my mother; physically and emotionally...

I thought Heritage Woods was a neat place. It was close to my sister, and dad liked it. The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean.

I just remember how foul it smelled throughout the building and how messy everything looked. The nurses were not properly addressing the people's needs there and if so they were doing it improperly. The location itself looked nice from the outside. It had a wonderful looking plot of land that was well kept and had some amenities for the seniors. Other than that though it was not all that pleasant of an experience there. I remember my great grandmother complaining now and then about how the nurses there did not do that good of a job. She also always mentioned how the food was not too good either. I really wished that they would have kept better care up for the place since there are very fragile, seniors there that need to be well taken care of. Though my great grandmother has since passed away, bless her soul, I hope that many of the other residents are receiving better treatment.

Heritage Woods in Dwight, IL is a wonderful place. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are kept very clean. There is a lot to do at Heritage Woods, they have a salon, many activities available, and happy hour. They offer transportation to and from any medical appointments, and a trip to the store once a week. This is by far one of the best assisted living places I've ever seen. I was happy to know my great-grandmother was being kept good care of.
