I went to Addington Place of Collinsville. I was impressed with that one. I mean, if I could have afforded it, I probably might have gone there, but the other place was much more affordable. It's very nice. You walk in and you think you're at a nice hotel, resort-type place. It's just very, very well done, well put together and the residents seem very happy there. The staff was very friendly. When I went up to the memory care unit there, the activity director was doing activities with the patients and another lady was getting her hair done by one of the staff members. I just felt like they cared and they took good care of the patients. I didn't eat anything there, but they had a nice dining room. I thought the staff was great. I liked her, and again, if it would have been closer to my house and more affordable, I would have probably chosen that place over the other one, but the other one is five minutes from my house and it's very affordable.

I went here and it was nice, it was clean, the people seemed friendly, and I could actually see it from my house. However, my mother needed memory care, it was on the third floor, and she needed to take the elevator to the first floor, or to steps, which she couldn't do with a walker. I think that riding on an elevator would be confusing for her. If you were there for assisted living, that would be fine. The only place that was open was on the third floor, and I didn't like that.
