My Mom has lived at Village Woods for a going on 6 years. She loves it there. All the staff is so friendly and nice to her. She has been in Assisted Living for almost 4 years. She loves the activities, getting her hair done and manicures. The Nursing staff is just excellent and so attentive. The life enrichment staff come up with the most entertaining activities that include everyone. And as a bonus the food is excellent, if you are looking for a retirement facility you cannot go wrong with Village Woods.

I have had many opportunities to experience the Village Woods community which includes staff and residents. My husband, a retired pastor, led the Vesper service on a number of occasions. It was such a precious time of worship and sharing. I have also had friends who have become residents in the villas and assisted living. Their families are thrilled with the care they receive and how expanded their lives have become with all the new friends and activities they experience at Village Woods. In recent years, I am a part of a local art gallery who provides a monthly free art project for any residents that are interested in participating. The staff are so incredibly supportive! The residents become so engaged in their projects; and, best of all, we have formed strong relationships with many who look forward to the class each month. The building looks immaculate, the dining room feels like you're eating in a resort, the staff are warm and relational. My parents have long since transitioned to their eternal homes but I'd feel so at ease having them at Village Woods...it is such a happy, healthy place. What an opportunity for older adults to experience life to the fullest! I highly recommend.

I have found that Village Woods has been very helpful with caring for my elderly parents. The staff is always cheerful, kind and willing to help in anywhere that they can. My folks enjoy very much the singing on Thursday evening with Pastor Mark. I have peace knowing that they are together, they are safe,a d being well cared for.

My mother has been a resident at Village Woods since 2018. She began in independent living and is currently in assisted living. We were very impressed with the facilities when looking to place Mom after my father's passing. The staff has been very accommodating and their care for her has been exemplary. Village Woods has been able to maintain zero COVID19 residents since the pandemic began. This is a remarkable achievement considering the horror stories at other long term care facilities. The monthly fees are very reasonable for the care that Mom receives. I highly recommend considering Village Woods when in search of a reasonably priced, Christian based long term facility.

Our family member is living in a large single room floorplan which afforded her plenty of room for comfortable furnishings to make her feel right at home. She has a lovely view of the outdoor pool and the golf course. What makes VW the best living option is their caring staff. They go out of their way to provide any necessary assistance to the residents in a professional & friendly manner. Covid19 has changed the daily routine for the residents but the staff has come up with creative ways to keep them engaged. Although they look forward to things going back to normal, we are grateful for the procedures put in place to safeguard the residents. The main dining room, the bus outings, & communal activities have been put on hold for now but it's the reality of these times.

Village Woods is set on a beautiful property overlooking Balmoral Woods Golf Course. Eating meals in the main dining room is an extra treat as you feel like you are staying at a resort. Mom is on an assisted living floor and she enjoys her private room. The aides and nurse come in quickly when mom rings for one, and being a fall risk, that is very comforting to know that she has that support. She loves the special entertainment and treats that happen often. She also loves the Catholic Mass once a month (pre COVID19) and looks forward to getting back to that as well as the “beauty shop” once allowed again. She also loves “working out on the gym” with Bailey. We have noticed improvement in her stability when standing, and that can primarily be attributed to her fitness program. With COVID restrictions, it is a bit isolating for Mom and her fellow residents but we understand that it remains COVID FREE and we attribute that to the professionalism of the leadership and staff. I would recommend anyone interested in an independent living or assisted living facility to consider Village Woods.

We're very happy with Village Woods where my mom is. It is set on a beautiful golf course which is a beautiful setting. There are 24 hour surveillance cameras and security, excellent Christian caring environment, and more activities than I have seen at 16 other homes. There's Bingo and scenic tours where they go to different towns and they learn the history of a town, and when they come back on the bus, they provide them with ice cream or dessert, free of charge. They have three delicious, balanced home-made meals a day, they have Bunco, volleyball with a big blow up ball so they could be sitting in their transport chairs, all kinds of parties like a Fall party in the afternoon, shuffleboard, cards, Jeopardy!, church service on Sunday nights, and hymn singing on Tuesday nights. They can go to the dining room to eat. It was a Holiday Inn, so it’s a beautiful hotel setting for the dining area, it's very reasonable for guests to come in to have dinner, and there are multiple choices for dinner. It's just a very, warm caring environment, and they have a lot of socialization in the lobby and coffee and conversation in the evening. It's just a multitude of things, and there are about 4 things every day for them to do. They have live entertainment come in on Thursday afternoons, be it an organist, singers or puppet show from a church in the area, and they had someone come in and play the flute and sing. They have a swimming pool and exercise programs; all this is included in your monthly fee, and there are no extras. You have to see it to believe it. You walk in there, and you feel the warmth. Every caretaker there has a warmth about them, and you'll see them hugging the residents. They have a gift shop, it's all-volunteer, and it's wonderful. They take care of you, and they do more than just service you. What more can you ask for? In your golden years, it's such a blessing. It's amazing, and it's the best.

My step-siblings found Village Woods for my parents, who have lived there for two weeks now. It is nice. We love the place. The Village Woods was once a hotel, so they have rooms for two and four people. My parents have two adjoining rooms, so they have two bathrooms, one bedroom, and one living room with an open passageway between. My only complaint is that they have the old hotel furnace in there. They do multiple outside trips during the week and there are different denominational church services that are offered to the people. They celebrate birthdays of those folks that live in the facility. I think the activities are going to be just fine for my parents. The facilities are clean, the staff is very attentive to the elderly, and the food selection is very well rounded.
