My experience with The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion was very nice. The administrator gave us the tour. She was very helpful and very nice. It was very, very nice, but it comes down to which one you feel the best at and I didn't feel the best in Mount Zion. It's in the middle of a cornfield, and it isn't what I wanted. I preferred being up north. I just felt better at a different place and I'm going to downsize to a one-room apartment and that was not available to me at Glenwood.

A nice physical facility with large suites. Food was marginal and not able to tailor it to resident's needs (my brother is diabetic) CNA's were nice enough. No nurse, no visiting podiatrist, no other specialists unless they were visiting ones like Aetna has. Not a secure perimeter. Apartments have doors to the outside yet the outside area is not fenced. My brother has Dementia and the staff didn't know how to handle this. He also has other issues that made his stay not optimal. Not all staff is vaccinated and there were many Covid cases. A visiting staff informed me my brother was not getting the proper care.

We were impressed with The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion. The staff and the individuals that we met were very friendly. We did get a good view of the dining hall and it looked great. The person who toured us was very informative, patient, and allowed plenty of time for questions and the tour. We also liked the rooms. The back patio was a plus, and it had a great view of the courtyard, which would be utilized if my parents were there. It's a regular size apartment with a walk-in bathroom and a bedroom, while the courtyard is outside. They've offered an opportunity for adult coloring, puzzles, card playing, and activities that were scheduled each day on a calendar. It was clean and it looked like it's been well taken care of.

I like The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion. They are very nice buildings, and they're decent apartments. It is a good facility. The staff member was informative. She knew what she was talking about. She was a good person, and she was friendly. It's assisted living and they have a nursing staff on hand, which a place likes that usually needs. That's always good to have on hand. Their dining area is nice. She didn't further take me in there, but I have seen pictures of it.

I visited The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion for my mom. All we could only see was the unit because it's on lockdown and we could not see much. It was fine. Their dining has more set scheduled than the other one we looked at, but their price was way different, too. But they said that if somebody does not feel good, they would not make them come to the dining room. They can take care of their needs if they say they cannot come into the dining area. It was acceptable.

The entryway of The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion was small and narrow, and there wasn't really a nice greeting area like the other places we've been to. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The apartment we looked at was small compared to what my mother had previously. It had an outside patio with French doors, which I was concerned about because of the cold air getting in. They're pretty limited on space, so there's not a whole lot they could do.

The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion is wonderful. They're doing a great job with my father. It's very clean, they're very friendly, and very attentive. I've eaten there once and the food was really good. They have bingo, social hours, puzzles, a library, a hairdresser comes in, there's movies, a good selection of books, a nice gathering area, a nice dining area, laundry service once a week, and a cleaning lady who comes and does all the rooms. If somebody is in distress and presses their button, the staff is usually at the door within one minute. They're quick and on top of their game. It's expensive, but they have the benefit of having a nursing staff 24/7 who are really attentive and real fast to deal with any problems, like laundry being done, and the carpets being clean. It's a very beautiful building, well laid out, and the apartments are really spacious and really nice. He has a back patio, which goes out to a big gazebo, and a beautiful open area.

My friend moved in to The Glenwood Supportive Living of Mt. Zion. He gets his cleaning and laundry done, and he gets three meals a day. Once in a while the nurse will take a blood test, but most of the time he's getting therapy from outside. The services are very good and we're very pleased. They're very concerned about the needs of each person who lives there. The staff is caring, very good at what they do, clean and cook really well and does the laundry really good. My friend is very happy with it. They keep the grounds very nice and they have flowers hanging from the front porch where they can go out and sit if they want to. They have a key to their room so they can come and go as they wish. The food is very good. We ate there twice and we liked it both times. We think the place is very well-managed and the administrator is very good

The Glenwood in Mt. Zion was a good environment for supportive living. However, my mother is 89 years old and had a stroke, so she needs skilled nursing. It wasn't the level of care I needed for her. The grounds were pleasant and well cared for. The place was clean, spacious and seemed comfortable. However, there was no major road nearby. The staff was pleasant. They had an activity calendar. I didn't see much going on, but they had music performances and games. Everything seemed adequate.

Glenwood has all levels of care except for an Alzheimer's division. The staff was very polite and very nice. They had decent-sized rooms and it was clean.

The Glenwood is very nice and well kept. They take very good care of the people that live there. The dining area is awesome and the rooms are adequate for one person, not two, because they're too small. The staff is very accommodating. We have a neighbor that lived out there for a couple of years, and she was always very pleased with the food. They have an exercise room, bingo, hair salon, a nice area with a fireplace and TV if you want to socialize with other people, craft activities, a bar where you could go and get snacks, and a calendar up in the hallway to let you know the activities. They can improve on offering bigger rooms or some bigger apartments for two people as opposed to just the one-person rooms.

I liked everything at The Glenwood. First of all, it is close to where my son lives, so it is convenient. Secondly, they seemed to have more social activities. My mother is 93 and a little hard of hearing, and they had people and activities for that. They had studio apartments with a living room, bathroom, bedroom, and a back porch. The facility appeared to be well run, clean, and decent. I wouldn’t say it’s economical, but the price was reasonable. The staff was friendly, too.
