My mom is staying in Randall Residence of Decatur. It's wonderful. I can't say anything negative. The place is amazing, the staff is awesome, and the appearance is bright and cheery. They keep it updated because I know this has been there for several years, and they're constantly renovating it, making it up to date. Beautiful.
Yesterday my mother fell and broke her shoulder. One of the employees, her name is Lisa, my mom's in independent living, but she's just making sure that my mom is fine, and she will go beyond what is expected of a job to help. Last night she volunteered to go to the hospital and bring her back to her apartment if she didn't have a way to get back, and this is just an amazing woman.
Every day there's something new, there's always arts and crafts, they just finished up having a Mardi Gras party, so there's always a celebration happening at least once a week. They go out on a drive and once a week they go out to restaurants or they're out and about. It's very nice food. It's OK, but I'm not going to go crazy about it. It's not like a five-star restaurant, but it's good.
