My mom was at Eagle Ridge of Decatur assisted living. I would not recommend that place to anyone. My mom got neglected. They never checked on her. They wouldn't even wheel her down to the dining room to eat. My mom lost 40 pounds in two months of living there. Her apartment was consistently dirty. The floor was so bad that if you walked into it, you stuck to the floor. She's incontinent, and they would leave her lying in bed, lying in her feces. So she ended up with a terrible UTI and ended up in the hospital for that. She ended up with an infection in her behind. They left her lying in it because they didn't want to deal with it, is what the nurse told me. I am very, very displeased with that place. She was only there for a couple of months, and I had to get her out of there or something was going to happen to her. I had to get her out of there as fast as I could. They would take her clothes and not bring her clean clothes. It took them like two weeks to bring back her clean clothes, so she's wearing the same outfit all the time, and it's dirty and so then she had an odor. I'm so upset with that place. They were charging me a little more than where I am now, and they weren't doing anything there.

Eagle Ridge of Decatur was in a nice location. They're very friendly. The staff said they're like a family there and a lot of the residents and the staff were friendly. I could have pictured myself living there. The least I liked is that there were no levels of care. It's assisted living, and then you would have to move on. The room had a sink and a kitchenette. Their facilities were very nice, but they're higher priced. They had a nice activity program. It was very welcoming and homey.

Eagle Ridge of Decatur is a very nice place and self-sufficient. They have all the necessities that you would need there, like hairstyling, laundry service, and convenience store. Everything is located right inside the facility. I was very impressed with the tour. The type of people that were there were very friendly. The facility was very clean, very well thought out, and very good for emergencies. They have call buttons in every room. The bathrooms are set up to be wheelchair accessible. It is two blocks away from the hospital.

Eagle Ridge of Decatur is clean and the people are nice, friendly, and they treat my mother with kindness. It's a nice place. The staff members assist her with her needs and with her medicine. They do her washing and they come in once a week to clean. She has a one-bedroom apartment with a bath, living room, and kitchen, and she has big closets. They have bingo, church services, exercises, and different kinds of activities. They have a library, an exercise room, a yard where they can go out and sit, and a little space where people do puzzles. I ate there and the food was delicious. The lemonade was really good. For all they do, the pricing is worth it.

My mother-in-law is in Eagle Ridge. It is close to us, and it is government subsidized. They offer free membership to the Y, which is just down the street. The staff bends over backwards to help. Right now, my mother-in-law doesn't have her vision much anymore, so they are helping her go to the dining room and back. They help her have her clothes picked out and stuff. We never have any issues with any of them, and I will give them a top score. We think the food is good. She has a one-bedroom apartment with a nice big closet, a living area, a kitchenette with a microwave, a refrigerator, and she has a handicap accessible bathroom. When she first went in there, she could see and can get around a little better which was around 7 years ago. She is on the Wii bowling team, and they go around other facilities or other facilities go there, and they have a city wide competition. They have a little bus, and they take them to classes at the Y. They have cooking upstairs. They have bingo. They have music groups that come in. There is always something going on. They do a lot of different things.

My mom has been a resident here since February 2011. We are very please with the facility and the staff. She loves the meals. Her apartment is cleaned weekly. They also do her laundry. They have an onsight beauty parlor. She is thriving here.

Eagle Ridge is okay for an Assisted Living Facility but I am not too sure I would want to live there! Their food menu tends to be the same just on a rotated basis and it doesn't smell to good. My Grandma lived there several years before she got sick and passed away in the hospital. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have many activities for the residents to participate in and they take little trips here and there. They have parties for all the different holidays and also they have a birthday party once a month for the residents having a birthday that month. Their cleaning people and laundry service is pretty good. The only real negative is really the food but when it comes to institutional food like that, it is kinda hard to make it "tasty".
