We visited The Moorings of Arlington Heights. The rooms were excellent and the food was good. They had a recreation room, exercise room, pool tables, and games. There were plenty of activities.

The Moorings is very nice and has independent living, assisted care, and nursing facility. I've eaten in the dining room, and I visited several rooms there. They have an exercise room, a pool, and a large movie room in the assisted living. The staff is very professional. It's bright, cheery, clean, and the records appear to be well kept. They have musical programs.

The Moorings was a nice place. There wasn’t anything particularly negative, except that I thought it was pricey for me. They do a nice job, and they have been there for years. They are a little pricey, but they are providing a little above average type of place for people who could afford it. At my end, I just don’t think I have the resources to go there.

We didn't like The Moorings. They said that we didn't have a million dollars in assets. It didn't feel friendly. The entrance fee was too high.

I visited The Moorings. It was a CCRC so it was a very large, sprawling property, 45 acres for buildings, they have significant growth plans in the next years, and it was a lot of activities.
They have a mass every week which important for my father; he's Catholic, they have a mass usually on Thursdays, rosary on Fridays, they have kids from high school come in once a month to help out with Bingo, and they have kindergartners come in once a month to interact with the seniors.
They can improve on the price. It's over $400 a day. Having private rooms is almost cost-prohibitive, and to me it's very important that my father has at least a little left of his own.

The Moorings of Arlington Heights is a wonderful facility from a socializing aspect. I was not happy that they did not have personal laundry, only laundry outside of the unit.

The Moorings of Arlington Heights was a very nice facility. It was out in the suburbs, and it was on a very large campus. It was a very upscale place, and they redo everything when you move in. They had large grounds. There was a lot of space. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful and very pleasant.

I went to The Moorings of Arlington Heights, and the people were very nice and friendly. They have a lot of open areas where you can sit outside. It was the most beautiful place I saw with the flowers and the greenery. A lady showed me the rooms, and they have a beauty shop. They would drive me to a list of places if I wanted to go. The staff was very helpful.

I've visited The Moorings. They are on the expensive side, but they are absolutely gorgeous. It is gated. Everyone that I met who is there loves it. Regarding the staff, everyone was very nice.

I love the Moorings of Arlington Heights. The facilities were lovely. I really liked the people that we met. Everything was nice. However, if one of my parents needs assisted living, they'll have to move out of their apartment and move into the assisted living center, so there would be too many moves. What I like best about this place was the staff and the look of the place. It was clean, bright, and attractive. Also the staff was extremely friendly. The people there also seemed very happy.

The rooms are beautiful at The Moorings of Arlington Heights. The dining area is really nice. It's like you are eating in a restaurant. They have a swimming pool and a beauty salon. It’s actually a wonderful establishment. The woman I talked to who is in-charge of everything is absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable. We had lunch there one afternoon and the food is terrific.

I don’t think I can afford The Moorings. I think you would have to buy into it but I liked it very much. That would be my ideal place if I could go to a place like that. It seemed like some place I would want to be and I would feel at home. It was just the right size and the meals were included which was very important to me because I’m not doing any cooking anymore. I liked the grounds and I liked the fact that it had a gate where people couldn’t come in unless they were authorized to. It had everything I would want if I were staying here in Illinois.
That was where someone I know was living and she's passed away. She started out in a little apartment. The only thing that bothered me was if you have to walk to where you eat; and during winter that could be difficult. It just seemed to me it was quite a distance from her place. I think she was very satisfied there at least that’s the impression I got. It didn’t seem like an institution. She was living very comfortably in her unit which was like a little apartment. It was of comfortable size and it had a tiny kitchen, a living room and then two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house looked clean. It was a very nice place.

The Moorings was also very nice and was in a nice campus. They only had 2 bedroom apartments but they had townhouses which had 2 bedrooms also. They had a lot to offer and I had no problem with the place. However, I was not that pleased with the marketing department. The fact that we submitted the whole financial application and they would not let us stay overnight in the guest apartment until they approve us. The receptionist was a little distracted and not that personable just like in a rush to get you in. I did meet the social worker, she was fine. There should be a little more sincerity in the part of the marketing. I thought she just wanted to snag a sale.

We visited the Moorings, and it was very beautiful, but the way that they get their buy-in almost priced my mom out right away. It was very nice. She would have been happier because it was just so pretty, but it was a smaller community. I really like the grounds and the outside area. It just was very quiet, serene. It had a very comfortable, relaxing feel. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was very bright and willing to share the different activities with us.

My Grandmother and Grandfather moved into this facility about 12 years ago. The place is very nice, good food, a swimming pool, exercise facilities, small library, ponds, patios, excellent grounds, and many other great facilities. My grandparents stayed in the apartments, but as the years went on my grandpa had to move to the assisted living area. He was well cared for. My grandma still lives there today and has no complaints.
