The security at Chatham Villas of SouthPark only have assisted living there during the tour, so it wasn't what we were looking for and it didn't fit our needs. The person who gave the tour, I didn't get a good, friendly feeling from her. They didn't have any independent living, it seemed to be a little bit overpriced and tight, accommodation-wise. The independent and assisted living facilities were separate buildings and they were occupied, so there were no openings in independent living. The facility appeared to be clean and well-maintained.

We toured Chatham Villas of SouthPark. The executive director was our host. She was very thorough, very informative, and followed up with me to see if there was anything else that she might answer questions or what she could assist me with. They have a movie theater, they have a space for them to go and read books or do puzzles, and they have a community dining area. It is all very similar to the other facility. They have a courtyard, a movie theater, a salon, and a small area set up in their therapy room where individuals could go in there and work on some exercise equipment. It's very updated and it's fairly new. It would be a facility where I could see myself living there. The rooms themselves were like an apartment. They're very clean and very modernized. Just a very nice setting.

I went to Chatham Villas of SouthPark. I thought it was a wonderful place. I like the idea that they have a kitchen and that they cook their own food. I would have my mother there in a minute, but it's too high. We can't afford it. The staff was very nice. She was informative and friendly. They've got a pool table right there in the hallway, they have everything you can want, the hairdresser, but I was mainly impressed with the kitchen. They have a beautiful courtyard, in fact, they have two courtyards. It's very clean. The little apartments were very nice.

The person who gave me the tour at Chatham Villas of SouthPark just walked me around the facility. It looked like there wasn't much going on. There was an activity while I was there. They had 50 units, and there were only five people at the activity (which means it must not have been a very interesting activity). I looked at a 2-bedroom unit. It was small. It did not have a full kitchen. The dining area was nothing special, but it was OK. The atmosphere was too quiet. They had a movie theater, which was the outstanding thing there. The entire place smelled of air freshener. If you love perfume, that would be great; but if you're allergic to it like me, that's terrible.

Chatham Villas of SouthPark was the second place we went. The person there was able to bring us into an empty apartment that was all set up. It was kind of a showroom, but it was nice to see that. The place had two loops and she went through one loop and said, 'Well, we don't have to walk around the whole other loop because it's just the same as this one,' so it saved my parents all that walking that they did on the other place, which is nice. It's more thoughtful towards them.
They also have an independent living. They have apartments that we drove over to, and the person met us. We toured an empty apartment. My parents like the idea of that apartment more than the assisted living. They like the independent living side of it all. I wanted to look at independent living as well, and my parents like independent much better.
I didn't see the residents doing much. With COVID restrictions, they aren't open as much, but a lot of people were just in their rooms. They did show places where they do activities, and they showed us activity boards and things like that. I've just dealt with the executive director, and I didn't see any other staff, but she seemed to be a little more attentive to my parents' abilities.

Chatham Villas of SouthPark is beautiful. Of course, that comes with a price as well, but we're fine with that. It's a five rating all the way around on everything. We liked the idea of my mom being in one place and then having all the help onsite, so you don't have to bring anybody in because they have people there that can come in and bathe you, or make sure you take your medicine. They have all their meals and all that stuff too. We liked that setup better than some of the other ones. It was a very nice facility.

We're probably going to pick Chatham Villas of SouthPark for my brother. He is in rehab right now, so I'm probably going to put a deposit down and save a room for him and then just go over there. From what we saw, it was fine. We didn't see any growing problems or anything. They have exercises, bingo, and movies. They basically have the same ones all of them provide. Yesterday, they had a get-together with cheese and crackers.

We saw Chatham Villas of SouthPark, and it was fabulous; it was pretty much five-stars for everything. It's a beautiful facility, it was new, the grounds and the apartments were really nice, well kept-up, and the staff was friendly. The manager seemed great, the people were being helped into the lunchroom as needed, the food was fabulous, they had a lot of activities, and we went to a couple of them. We would choose it for Mom.

Chatham Villas of SouthPark was very lovely. Some of the outside rooms faced the lake and that was very pretty. It was set in a rural setting, and it was very accessible. I think it's extremely expensive. It was tastefully decorated and there were many live plants indoors. It was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly.

My tour at Chatham Villas of SouthPark was really nice. They were very helpful, showed us everything, were very caring, and didn't pressure us at all. It was such a good experience. They served all three meals, but it's cafeteria style which was my main reason for not choosing it. In all the other places I toured, you order off a menu and you get served, but they don’t have that. Otherwise, it was a very nice place with very good people. The services that they offer were complete, including laundry services, exercises, and transportation.

Chatham Villas of SouthPark was very nice and new, but very expensive. There didn't seem to be a lot of activities going on there, and it seemed kind of pretty, but the facility is very pretty, decorated very nicely, and very modern. The staff seemed to be very pleasant.

The best one was The Villas of South Park (Chatham Villas of South Park). It’s brand new, beautiful like a resort, and the price is very reasonable. It’s my favorite, but I didn’t go there because my mom didn’t warm to it. It’s so new and not full, and she saw it as being a big, lonely place because people weren’t moving around and doing things. If there was anything they can improve on, it's that they need to encourage more socializing and being out of their rooms and doing things.
