I liked Luther Park at Sandpoint. The staff was nice. Their facilities were beautiful. We toured both the memory care area and the assisted living area. The memory care unit was very, very nice. The people were pretty solicitous of the individuals. The assisted living side looked like a townhouse environment. There are activities and very well-appointed amenities. They had a library with comfy couches, so if you were a couple and you were looking for a location, you could go there knowing full well that there's a menu of care that you could ask for in your apartment. The units themselves were gorgeous. There's beautiful carpeting and wall colors. Your monthly amount includes your cable, utilities, your garbage, and everything. You can have a car there as they've got plenty of parking, but if you don't want to drive, you can sign up for a shuttle to go shopping or go to your doctor. You can have doctors come in, too. It was lovely and we thought the price was fair. The only downside was that if you need memory care right this very minute, they're not taking any more residents, because they don't have the staff, but they still are taking people in the other levels. Dawn was the person that we had the appointment with and she took us around everywhere. They had a two-bedroom unit, a one-bedroom unit, and a studio. The two-bedroom had a little deck out on it. So, in the summertime, you could have your doors open, go and sit out on your porch and read a book enjoying the view of the mountains. It was nice.

My dad has been in Luther Park at Sandpoint's assisted living for 2 weeks now. It's a newer community, and the accommodations are very nicely decorated. It's also very, very clean. They have a chef that prepares 3 meals a day for the residents. The particular apartment that my dad is in is a 1-bedroom apartment with a small living area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom that has a walk-in, handicap-accessible shower, and a stackable washer and dryer. They have a variety of activities for the residents every single day. They also have field trips that they schedule every month. Just from what I could see on their calendar, they play bingo and get together for an afternoon movie and popcorn. My father is really picky, but he says the food is delicious. The dining area looks like you're walking into a restaurant with some tables and chairs. It looks like a regular dining hall that you'd see in a restaurant. The outside grounds are well-maintained. All the plants, grass, and trees are kept trimmed and cut. There's no trash anywhere, and it's very well-maintained. Everything inside the building is also very well maintained. You don't see any signs of wear or tear on anything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about the residents there and make sure that their happiness and health are their number one priority. They have a barber and hair salon. It's open to the residents on Thursdays, I believe. I think the price is very reasonable for what they provide.

My mother was admitted to the memory care unit in November of 2018. Throughout her stay she received excellent care from a courteous, compassionate staff. She ended her life there wth hospice care supporting the staff, who were still the primary caregivers. Their gentle, considerate care helped to ease what was a difficult time for mom and us. I could not recommend them more highly .

I have been involved with Luther Park since it first opened its doors. Luther Park is a beautiful facility, well maintained, and well liked by most residents. It is probably the most liked of all facilities in Sandpoint. The staff is well liked by its residents and they really care about the residents of Luther Park. Please call and set up an appointment to take a tour of the facilities. You can learn a lot by doing this.

My mother is a new resident. The facility is beautifully designed (Arts & Crafts lodge) with a welcoming fire and helpful receptionist. I looked at dozens of places: most smelled bad and were not clean and I had difficulty contacting staff. The Luther Park staff is extremely helpful from the residence manager to the care staff. I feel like this is more than just a job to them: it's a ministry of care -- and that is a rare thing. The location is a very nice neighborhood with lots of nearby services. Lovely and accommodating beauty salon on site. Lot of windows and well laid out floor plan. There is a lot of activity and entertainment for residents. I've had a lot of stress taking care of my mother's affairs which she neglected, but worrying about her comfort and safety is not an issue. When I come in to see her, I am always welcomed warmly. Reputation is very good in the community.Highly recommended.

Over all the staff is excellent, The food is amazing, The nursing has no experience in Assisted living. The administration sucks. She doesn't care about the staff or the residents her only concern is the bottom line.

Luther Park is a beautiful place. It is very nice. Actually it is our favorite place that we looked at. It is close-by where we live in Sand Point, which is nice. The rooms are nice. We had lunch there. The food was good and the dining area is nice. Everything is clean. They do have activities there if you want to participate. My grandma is there right now.
