Some time ago my loved one was admitted to the Gables Assisted Living . It was a heartbreaking decision but a necessary one. While the manager Amy was there all was going great then she resigned and everything went to chaos. There are only a handful of caregivers that work there that are worth there weight in gold, the others need lesson in how to be patient, compassionate. adopt good medical records and treat others with the golden rule. The kitchen staff oh my gosh what a joke ! No gloves while serving a semi cold sometimes harder than a rock hard food! I witnessed personally last week a main kitchen worker opening up a big package of dry powder chocolate for the hot chocolate machine with her teeth! I was disgusted! My loved ones medications are often messed up. This facility used to be good now it lacks what is needed to maintain a five star facility. The caregivers take way to many smoke breaks leaving some patients waiting for assistance. Amy was great and we sure wish she was back! It is sad to see such a nice facility now running with what seems like not a clue what to do. One point of positive, I have never witnessed patient abuse. If you have a loved one at the Gables I encourage you to visit more.May The Lord enable them to change and get a clue.

My grandfather stayed at this facility while suffering from Alzheimer Disease. He was treated with extraordinary compassion and care while at this facility. It was a joy to see my grandfather treated so well, even though the trips to visit him were sad due to his condition. Also, each time I went with my family we were great with kindness and compassion. We were updated on his condition each time we arrived and the staff was more than willing to answer any of our questions. They would also provided the extra care that we were looking for to provide my grandfather with comfort throughout his illness. I felt like we made the right choice in choosing this facility over many of the others that we checked out prior to placing my Grandfather. I would recommend this facility to anybody with the same circumstances. What an amazing experience concerning the conditions of the use of the facility.
