My mom is at Charter Senior Living of Northpark Place. She was on the independent side for a year and a half, and then we moved her over to the assisted living side. The CNAs are great and give great care. If my mom needs anything, they're there for her. My mom can't walk and she's in a wheelchair. They come and take her to dinner, to activities, and her doctor's appointments. They have a van that goes three times a week to your doctor's appointments or wherever you want to go. It's not very big, but my mom's got a sleeping area, a living area, and a bathroom that is wheelchair accessible. They're the only ones in the city that have respite care, which is equal to nursing home care, more or less. That way, I can keep my mom out of the nursing home.
They have games and activities every week. They have people come in and sing in the community room. They sing a lot of the older songs that everyone can relate to. It's just a very nice community. I'm happy we found it. They play bingo and watch movies too. The meals are good, but they could be a little bit better sometimes.
