Hansen House was very clean. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very cheery. The rooms were very clean, very tidy, and very big. The atmosphere was very engaging and very cheerful. The food smelled and looked good, but I didn't taste anything. While I was there, they were playing games and doing puzzles. They also had cooking classes and bingo. They provide 24-hour help if you need it. The only bad thing that I would say is that they just didn't have a lot of minority-driven activities.

My wife moved into Hansen House. It was convenient for the family to be able to visit her. It was a smaller community. We thought they provided the care that she would need. The staff members are very nice people and very knowledgeable. They're right there on the spot if you need them, and they joke often. They were working on a jigsaw puzzle and watching TV together. Some of the patients even come to people's rooms. At first, we thought that was very nice, but we soon learned that they wanted to come to your room to use the bathroom because the door was open. They have a salon. My wife needed a toilet seat replaced, and they did that rather promptly.

Hansen House is developed specifically for memory care. There were a lot of things with how they built it that they took into consideration for the different stages of dementia and memory issues of the patients. The staff members were very attentive, and appeared to be having a good time with the people who live there. They're like a family. I saw them playing a game. They have a courtyard and a full kitchen. It was a big open concept, and they have a beauty salon.

My husband is in Hansen House. They seem to be very caring, friendly, personable, and keep me informed of what's going on, so they're very good. They play ball, they have hand massages, and they go for walks in the courtyard. We get a calendar of events every month.
