I toured Edencrest at Beaverdale. They had a nice activity room. There was a gentleman there singing songs and playing a guitar with lots of residents. I was watching the program when I was there. It looked like they had a good variety of food options. They have a nice dining room, nice places for people to sit, and a nice patio area. The residents could go outside. sit on the patio, and watch the sunset. It's a newer facility. It's clean.

My mother was at Edencrest at Beaverdale. It's newly constructed and it's a very nice place. I thought everybody was super nice too. My mother was not as hot on it, though, just because she didn't like the food. All these places have the same food and it's just not what she wanted; it was mashed potatoes and gravy -- that kind of thing. She would rather have a little more diversity in her diet or have more vegetables. That was her only complaint, but their activities were perfect for what she needed. It's a place where she was safe and able to move around in a wheelchair while she got better. Her room was very basic, but it had an ample-sized bathroom for a person to get in and out and move around with a wheelchair. She wanted a landline, so we had to set up a telephone line for her, but everything else, like the Wi-Fi and all that stuff, was available. They had an on-site maintenance staff who set all that up for us, and they were very nice folks. They also had an exercise room, a crafts room, and a library. There were a lot of activities that people participated in. For what they charged us and what they provided to our mother, it was a great deal. After her accident, she went into another assisted living place that was almost three times as much money. It was supposedly the nicest one in town, but it was basically the same thing.

What kind of turned me off at Edencrest at Beaverdale was the facility. The individual rooms had motel-like heating and cooling units under the windows, and I didn't like that. I thought the bathroom vanities were kind of cheap and just didn't seem as nice quality inside the room. But the people seemed nice, there's nothing wrong with that. The staff was very pleasant, I have no complaints about the staff that we met. The apartments were what seemed rather subpar, just in the construction. Otherwise, it seemed fine. The location is very, very nice. I thought it was overpriced for value, for the condition of the rooms.

My father just moved into Edencrest at Beaverdale. So far, what I liked the most was the facility itself. It's fairly new, so it was clean and nice. I can't give a fair opinion yet though. We're just trying to get things worked out. The higher-ups were very nice and very helpful. The other workers seemed like they have a lack of communication among them. So far, he does not like the food. He's only had three or four meals, but he wasn't impressed. They have tons of activities. They'll take them places like bus tours, they have card games and social get-togethers, live music, and dominos.

We did a tour at Edencrest at Beaverdale. I found everybody to be just as lovely as can be. The lady who gave us the tour was very helpful, and everything was just perfect. I have no criticism of them at all. I got all the information I needed, and everybody was friendly and respectful, so those are the things I appreciated the most. It looked like a big place; it looked like it had a lot of open spaces. It's also nice and clean.

My mom has moved into Edencrest at Beaverdale. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They're near my home, and they're just very inviting. I don't know enough about the facility because I haven't been able to go inside due to Covid. But I know that the interaction that they're having with my mom has been wonderful. They're very caring, they take time to get to know her, they take time to be with her, and they help her adapt to the new place. It's a good location for people in the Des Moines area. Everything is phenomenal and excellent.

Edencrest was lovely, new, and airy. Their common areas were very nice and large. It was very nice. The food was fine. The rooms were fine, too. There were lots of lights. There was a very positive feel to it. The staff members were good. They had an area where you could visit or play games, they had a kitchen area where if someone wanted to bake or cook. They had an area to do puzzles, sit, and visit. They had lots of open common areas that were very nice.

Edencrest at Beaverdale is wonderful. The staff has been fantastic. It's always clean and well lit. There are lots of activities. There are card groups, exercise groups, excursions, and they're going to the zoo. They offer transportation to the grocery store and doctors' appointments. The food is the only thing that mom says is not fabulous. I have eaten there a couple of times.

Edencrest at Beaverdale was a nice facility, but it's not appropriate for my dad. It was clean, but had lots of stairs, and the assisted living did not seem like enough. The staff was very professional and nice. The dining area was nice and had tablecloths. They were decorating a Christmas tree and their halls at that time. The layout was a little weird for older people.

My mother is in Edencrest at Beaverdale. The staff and the facilities are very nice. They have the typical amenities that most places have. It's a good place to go. I ate there yesterday and the food seemed good.

Edencrest at Beaverdale is a brand-new and beautiful place. Dining is like eating in a restaurant. The staff seems pleasant and very engaging. They don't have a lot of grounds with a couple of porches. They have happy hours, and several daily activities both inside and outside the community. It seems like it's all good.
