About This Community

At this brand new Community, we believe services are just part of everyday living at CountryHouse. Because CountryHouse was designed by assisted living/memory care experts to look and feel like a family home, service delivery is discreetly built into the natural function of the household.

Services include 24-hour care, daily home-cooked meals with mealtime assistance if needed, medication supervision, help with bathing, dressing and hair care, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation. A nurse is on-site Monday through Friday and on call 24/7. Doctors, podiatrists, beauticians and other affiliated professionals make regular visits.

A full-time program coordinator oversees a 52-week curriculum of activities that are integrated with LifeCycles, our signature, whole-person wellness program. The program curriculum is designed to maximize all four elements of wellness: Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical and Spiritual.

Because everything we do is considered an activity, all staff participate in activities at CountryHouse seven days a week. There is a balance of daily, routine activities such as Morning Exercise and the Afternoon Bus Ride, and weekly activities such as Tuesday Pet Visits. Special activities add variety, depending on the season, such as bus trips, dances, classroom visits, concerts, parties, and more. There’s also a balance of group and personalized one-on-one activities. Interaction with pets, children, and nature are strong elements of our program curriculum.

I went to CountryHouse - Council Bluffs. It seemed very comfortable and cozy. The staff seemed reassuring. Their policies for the overnight care and the bathing policies, I was totally impressed with. I was comfortable because I felt that my mom would be safe there with 24-hour care. It was Katie who I met with. She was awesome. She was very informative with a lot of information other than just with the Country House. She was informative for us regarding a lot of information about moving my mother into a memory house. She answered a lot of questions we didn't know. Most of them were out on an outing that day and that impressed me. They said that they take outings often. The recreational part, that's important for me because my mom is just sitting when she's at home. She's not involved with any stimulation, other than just sitting with her daughters. The menus look good.

CountryHouse - Council Bluffs has been involving my mother-in-law into a lot of activities. Her mental health has been really good ever since she's moved in there. All of the staff have just been very, very caring and they were able to work with us to get her in very quickly. They've kept us informed, and they're easy to communicate with. They've listened to our concerns about her, and they made the whole process very easy. So, we've just been very pleased. Her room is beautiful. My husband was able to eat a meal with her, and he said it was really good. The dining area is also beautiful. The place is very clean. We really couldn't have asked for a better facility for her. It's lovely.

CountryHouse - Council Bluffs was great. We enjoyed it when my dad was there. The staff was great. His room was very nice and the layout was great. The food looked good, and he always ate it. There was exercise equipment that he used there and he would walk around the facility. They did exercises in the morning.
