Emery Place Assisted Living & Memory Care was beautiful, all brand new, and everybody was very nice. It was great. Sarah was really helpful and gave us tons of information. The day we toured the place they were having their big Thanksgiving meal, so the dining room was packed with people. She showed us a couple of different kinds of rooms. They weren't super large, but they looked nice.

I toured Emery Place, and it was a newer community. The place looked new, clean, and inviting. They have a large dining area, she showed me a couple of the rooms, and it was more compact than other facilities. The staff was very helpful. It was a bit expensive too, but that would have been my second choice.

Emery Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is a nice, new place that's about two years old. The staff is very nice. The location is very convenient, and the grounds are all very nice. They have games, exercises, and shopping.

Very disappointed in the treatment of my M-I-L at Emery Place. She was one of the 1st residents to move into Emery when it opened 2 years ago. Emery Place made an independent assessment of her a few weeks ago and decided she needed to be moved to their new locked facility because she burned a brownie in her microwave and "failed" an assessment they gave her. The nurse at Emery Place appears to make all the decisions and is not open to any other opinions (including family). She gave us the choice of moving to the locked ward or moving out. So...we are moving my M-I-L into a facility that respects her independence and fulfils their commitment to increase the level of care as needs increase instead of warehousing our loved ones in a locked (and understaffed) facility. Do not heed their promises of being able to increase the level of care your family member needs as they age. What they mean is that they will require them to move to the more expensive locked ward in order to remain at Emery. My M-I-L has been "assessed" at several other facilities that we are looking at to move her to, and has passed all their assessments. I'm confident the reason Emery Place required her to move was that they have a waiting list for her type of apartment, and they thought they could fill their empty rooms in the locked ward with residents who currently occupy the coveted rooms. Our story is not unique...in the last 30 days this has happened to 3 residents. Unfortunately, they didn't have the family resources to advocate for them. Beware...

Emery Place was amazing. We loved the atmosphere and how they set it up, like in the villages. They had areas set up that we thought would really trigger memories and stories for our mom. The price was competitive. The dining area is very nice, set up like an open-air cafe; it was beautiful. We all walked away from this facility thinking that it is the perfect place for our mother. The gentleman who gave us the tour engaged with the residents. One lady even walked with us almost the entire time, and it was obvious this gentleman knows a lot about her. There was a very caring and compassionate feeling to the whole place. They really want it to be a quality place for their residents. They have crafts for activities. They set up places and things that would trigger old memories and stories for their residents.

Emery Place is pretty new. I went to the rooms and the common areas. She did show me activities and what they do each week. We’ve gone to an ice cream place, and they go on for shopping activities. They have some kind of charitable fundraiser there that they could enroll in if they chose to be. They had a nice, big, outdoor space to walk and just to be outside. They had people that would garden, because they enjoy gardening. They had all-valet parking for their vehicles. They could be parked in a garage, and when they wanted to go somewhere they would bring it to them, which was really nice.
