My parents have been residents of Langdale Place for over 6 months now.
Dad has dementia, mom was the caregiver but could no longer do it. I brought them to Valdosta. Move in was smooth and the staff was very very helpful. Staff members are very sincere and hardworking. Our experience with Langdale Place has been excellent. Mom participates in activities weekly [activities are avaliable almost everyday] and best of all is able to stay with dad in an assisted care setting.

Langdale place seems to be a very well suited home for my grandmother. She has been here for almost a year, and talks positively about it. The home offers many arts and crafts, music, and other activities, and my younger relatives love to visit her while these are offered. I feel these activities provide a very nice incentive for children to visit their loved ones, and I know my grandmother enjoys visiting with all of the children of my family. The food offered in the cafeteria is very southern, which is extremely comforting to my grandmother. The staff even refers to lunch as "dinner" and dinner as "supper", which are terms my grandmother has always used, being raised in south Georgia. While shopping for a home for my grandmother, my family found many more economical solutions than Langdale Place, but I believe the extra costs are worth it. Additionally, the home is located in a very nice part of Valdosta, and is within walking distance of the local Middle School where some of her great-grand children currently attend. Overall, Langdale Place has pleased my grandmother and my family, and I would suggest it to anyone, provided they can afford it.

If this site allowed 10 star rating, I would rate Langdale at that. Wow...Ok lets begin with respite care: They offer care for short term or long term. If you need someone to be placed for a few days or years this is the place!! You have the option of independent living or assisted living. They have a beauty salon onsite as well as a library, individual mailboxes, dry cleaning and much much more. The activites are a must have!!!! From Jazz concerts to Jekyll Island trips, stretch classes, pet therapy and lot more. Staff is awesome, I just placed a client there last month. Awesome place...REALLY!
