The Retreat at Loganville offered personal care services and memory care services. I liked it and it's affordable. The staff was friendly, very nice, and knowledgeable. Everything about the facility was nice. They were just out of my price range. It was clean. They have the standard in what most personal care or assisted living have. There's nothing out of the norm. They have weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming, medication assistance management, dining assistance, and daily bedmaking. The level of care is from one through four. They have studio apartments up to a one-bedroom.

My tour at The Retreat at Loganville was very nice. I thought it was the best fit for my parents. It had a homey feel, it wasn't stuffy or anything, and it would have been very comfortable for them. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful, she was great. The dining area looked nice, but we didn't try the food, that's the next step but we didn't make it to that point. They had extracurricular activities and they were playing Uno and getting ready for lunch when I was there. So there were a couple of the residents sitting down for lunch in the dining room. The rooms were very nice. I like the environment and the cozy and homey atmosphere. I saw two of the apartments, one was what they call The Alcove, and I saw the other one that has a separate bedroom and a little kitchenette.

I toured The Retreat at Loganville. The staff was very friendly, and the establishment was very clean and orderly. Overall, that community was pretty nice.
It was tightened together not in a bad way, and so I found that to be advantageous. It was good because the actual rooms that assisted living patients would be staying in were not far away from the general place where they would be eating and things like that.
They had different rooms available. They had ones that were an open floor plan, but they were small like a suite. The smaller suites were just like one open floor plan. I wouldn't want to move my dad from a five-bedroom location to a one-bedroom, so the next level works out pretty well. It has a room where you sleep. Because it's in a room as opposed to an open floor plan, there's a certain amount of privacy. Even though you're living alone, it has a certain amount of privacy, which I think is important.
I saw a lot of older residents at this location. Obviously they weren't in their rooms when I saw them. They were kind of out and about. It led me to believe that it is a welcoming area and that the individuals come out of their rooms. They come downstairs. They go to different activities and things like that. It left a good feeling for me because I was concerned about my dad just living in this little space and that being it.
The dining area was a nice area. It was actually dignified. You could sit at longer table area, or you could sit where they have these shorter tables. You could sit in an area where there was TV and entertainment right there. Sometimes they had activities there as well. They had them actually during meals. They have a comedian come in and things like that, so that was pretty neat. It was neat and tidy, so I didn't have any complaints about it.
They had an outdoor area where you could also go, and people could hang out or whatnot. They had a movie room area, where you could go and they show different movies on different days of the week. They had this little popcorn machine in the corner, too. They make popcorn there. They had a craft area where you could go and do stuff. When I was there, I walked by there. At the time they had ladies in there, and they had a craft instructor that was leading them through how to make these things with popsicle sticks and stuff. It was kind of neat.

The Retreat at Loganville was very nice and very accommodating, updated, and it wasn't old looking inside. It was very beautiful. The room was small. It's just a bedroom, and it had a shower that you just wheel the wheelchair right in. You wouldn't have to step over something. It's close to the dining room and close to the front door. I couldn't say anything negative about them. Linda helps out to run the place and she's helped us the whole time. She was very warm and understanding and wanted to get in touch with my brother and me and to sit down and talk about what was going on.
The staff member that did her evaluation was real sweet. There's another lady that was like the director and she was really sweet, too. They were playing bingo when I was there and then they had people doing puzzles and some people were in the lobby watching TV. You could tell they had a lot of good things going on. We saw them eating dinner and they gave us a meal right before we left because it was dinnertime. The meal was excellent. I had potatoes with ham and peas and cornbread.

I toured The Retreat at Loganville. Everything was excellent about the tour. The lady who helped me was excellent, too. She was very helpful, and she gave extra information to us. Her name was Michelle and I want to give her rave reviews because she was very helpful. She let us come a little earlier since the other people canceled, but she did take us around on a tour. She gave us what our options were, and she also gave us other information that we were able to look for, any veteran's assistance and different things. She was just a very excellent tour guide and an excellent representative of that community, and I really appreciated her help. She followed up afterwards with the email with additional information, so I was very appreciative of that. I toured the assisted living and the independent living. It was a very nice and updated. They renovated it. It was a really nice facility. The places were nice, like the clubhouse. Everything was nice. They have meal service and chef services. They take people out to go grocery shopping.

The Retreat at Loganville was the first place I went to see. It was very nice. I had the opportunity to see the whole place. The facility is where you have a park-like area outside to go out and sit. You have different wings. They have plenty of rooms. They're not very big rooms, it's just big enough for maybe a full-size bed and dresser, they have windows, which I like that better. I did have an opportunity to see the activity room there. I'd seen the room where they have church service, the area where they eat dinner, and all of which were separate areas. The rooms are nice, it's set up for you to bring your bed, your dresser, you got a shower and bathroom, so everybody had their own bathroom. You can fix the rooms up the way you want them to be fixed up. So it's like you make it your personal space, so you feel at home. They have a nice closet for them to hang their clothes. They have shelving above there so that you can have things fold up in that area. They do have a chapel and a salon.
The staff offered me a sandwich, and it was good. She had someone to save a sandwich for me and gave me something to drink. They do have their cafeteria-type area that they go in and eat, and it's nice enough for everybody to sit in there, and then they have a second floor. So the library is actually on the second floor. They have a laundry area where you can go into the laundry room, say, if I went to visit my mom, if she did not know how to wash, I could go in and wash her clothes in the laundry area, wash them and dry and then bring them back to the room, or I could bring them home, or I could pay them, I think you had to pay them a little extra to do the washing.

I went to The Retreat at Loganville. That was an awesome place, but they only have one room available right now. It was a little small, a studio apartment, it was really small, and my dad's in a very large wheelchair at the moment. The room was too small, but the place was just absolutely gorgeous and the people there were nice. It didn't feel like that was a good place for him to be in, it was at the end of a very long hallway, and he can't walk very well right now. The place is just absolutely beautiful, top-notch looking. I think everything's great in it. It's bright. It's cheery. It's very up-to-date, very gorgeous and good.
They were the nicest group of ladies. They were so pleasant. They were very sweet, I just met a lot of folks going down the hallway. Everybody was happy and everybody seemed to love where they were at. I didn't eat there, but the food sure did smell good. I didn't want to try it, but it smelled awesome because they have a dining room on each floor. So it was nice, intimate dining.

I went to The Retreat at Loganville. The tour went very well. It has just been remodeled. It was an excellent place. The memory care facility was not actually in the larger building. The memory care facility wasn't as nice as the larger building. We walked from one building to the other and it did not appeal to me. The person that led me through was very well-versed. She knew everything about the facility. She showed me absolutely everything and discussed everything. She was excellent. I saw the dining room; it was adequate. The outside facilities were adequate. I only saw two residents. I didn't get to see them eating or whatever.
The rooms were adequate. They weren't as large as the other places, but they were adequate. They had both private and shared rooms. They had a very nice courtyard. They had the dining room and then another common area. It's a little small. The other building was assisted living. It has been nearly remodeled. It's beautiful. The memory care was just a separate little building, and it has not been remodeled or anything. I toured the assisted living and the memory care. The assisted living had two beautiful dining rooms, a beautiful living room area, a gathering room, and a library. It was excellent. It's just they haven't done anything with the memory care building yet.

My mom moved into The Retreat at Loganville last Friday. We chose it because it's very close to my house, it's very clean, and I like the people there. It seems like a good atmosphere. She's in their assisted living. They're understaffed, actually, but the ones that are there do a really good job. The food is okay and the residents enjoy it. They have a salon and a courtyard. The place is near hospitals and restaurants. I think it's very expensive.

The lobby at The Retreat at Loganville was beautiful. It was like going into a mountain retreat, it was. But then you get back to the bedrooms, and the rooms were small and there was a faint odor. I was not impressed. The young lady that gave me the tour gave me much more information as far as options and help.
The rooms were small. The staff told me they were doing some renovating as I go. It was more like going into a hospital than it was going into a living facility. I saw the dining area and it was clean. They have an activity room, but they did not have an activity person there. They offer different activities at that time for them, but I didn't get into a whole lot of it. They have gardens. They also have a gazebo that they said family members could go out, sit and visit with the people. The young lady that gave me the tour was very, very helpful as far as any extra help that the family might need in the future. She was very personable, very friendly, and very knowledgeable.

My husband is in The Retreat at Loganville, and so far I'm not pleased with the meals that he is getting there. The food is lousy.
The other thing I did not like is their sales pitch is really good. Now that he's in there all this stuff is like this. I'm like "Oh, my God!"
The place itself looked beautiful, but the service was not good. When I'm there the staff act really nice, but I've caught a couple of them not really servicing the people. Right now, there's not a lot of activities because they don't do anything, but play bingo. The activities director said that they're coming up with more. I suggested that they get all the veterans together because they don't have a lot to do by themselves.
Outside of the rooms is fine, but they're supposed to give housekeeping one day a week, on the weekends. They haven't given him any housekeeping at all. We chose this place because of the pricing.

I visited The Retreat at Loganville. The rooms were nice and spacious. Everything was well locked up because of the virus. I saw rooms; they had two different sized rooms. There was a little bit of a fee difference, but the rooms would have been suitable for a person in a motorized chair; it wouldn't be a problem. The cost of that was a little less than the others.

I didn't like The Retreat at Loganville, it's very dated so we're not interested. The person who helped us during the tour was very friendly and informative. The interior of their dining area looked very dated, it looked more like a cafeteria, we saw the residents eating. The place itself wasn't so big. They need to be remodelled and repainted.

It was very nice. They have cottages, but my parents have gone past the cottage thing where they live out by themselves and then they go down some place to eat. The rooms were not large enough for them and they didn't have enough closet space. They had assisted and independent living and we looked at both. In the assisted living, the rooms weren't large enough. They would've been fine living in a cottage, but they would have to leave every time they want to eat or whatever because the dining hall was right across the street. It just wouldn't work out for them. The cottage was very nice. If they had been younger, it would've been great, but they're not. They have a lot of activities. They have a library and a dining room. Everybody was very nice.

My mother in law was there for respite care which seemed hard to find a facility that would allow someone to stay temporarily. They were extremely nice, helpful, and efficient! If my mother in law needs a permanent place this will be our pick! Thank you for taking such great care of her so that I could rest and have a vacation.

I really liked it, but it was too far for the other family members to visit frequently. It was a nice place, it was beautifully decorated, and it was warm and inviting. The people were warm and nice. They had something planned every day; they would go to the library, Walmart, or other places. The staff was very nice, and it was a nice tour.

The community is really homey. The people are really nice. It is a neat place. The food is usually really good. They have two dining rooms -- one for the independent living and one for the assisted living. They have card games and bingo.

It looked very nice, and the people were friendly. The rooms were very clean. It seemed to be a very well-respected place, and a lot of people there really liked it. I would recommend them. The lady that showed us around was very nice.

I liked it. It was fairly large for what I was looking for.
The staff has been helpful and entertained the questions I had. They had some activities that we could just sit in and get people in the community together.

The location was perfect. I liked the general appearance because it’s a nice large place that has plenty of area for gardens and walking around. It’s a large, well maintained, and clean looking environment. They have different room types depending on what you’re looking for; some are big, and some are small. Everyone was friendly, very accommodating, their general knowledge is high, and they offered us something to drink. We were looking for a place that has activities, and they got activities throughout the day and evening. That was nice. They provide a van service to shopping or to the doctors.

It was an awesome place. Their food was really good. We had lunch there one day and spoke with Linda. She was very nice, very cordial. Everyone there was good to us when we visited. My mom knew some people there, which was another reason we checked that out. The rooms had kind of a hotel feel: bathroom, bed, that was it. They have a great pecan roll. If you're ever in that area, go by there and get one. They gave me a list of activities as far as the bingo, arts and crafts, puzzles.

It is just the best out of all facilities for my money. My mom has a room there that is pleasant and functional, and that's basically what I was looking for. The staff is very knowledgeable, very gracious, and very attentive. They have a wide variety of activities and my mother has a wide variety of interests, so it was a good fit. Food is excellent. I would recommend this place to others.
