Steer clear of Hartwell. I have documented medication errors and medical conditions that went untreated brought to the attention of Administrator, Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing. When these issues were supposedly investigated, things were covered up or left off the report in their favor. The floor nurses are programmed to be robots just to pass meds. and follow doctors orders. Management including shift nursing supervisors didn’t even know what was going on. Their was no accountability, staff could pretty much do what they wanted and get away with it. On several occasions, my loved one wanted to go to bed early because of not feeling well and was told they couldn’t until after supper! The only positive thing I could say is there were a few caring CNA’s who worked there but no longer are that did a great job.
