About This Community

If you’re worried about a senior parent, you’ll find relief at Manor Lake Gainesville.

Care at Manor LakeGainesville is more than just meals and medications. It includes serving the Body, Mind, and Spirit of a senior – because care is physical, emotional, and transcendent.

It begins with an Individualized Care Plan based on need, and continues with a building that’s comfortable and easy for a senior to learn and navigate.

Assisted Living is perfect for seniors who are mostly independent, yet need help managing medications and meals. But there’s much more to Assisted Living than that.

At Manor Lake Gainesville, housekeeping, laundry, and activities are services seniors love. Hot and delicious meals are served three times a day and snacks are available all day.

Caregivers are on duty 24-hours a day, plus the LPN is full-time. Our primary tasks are to carefully manage medications, provide Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed, and to become trusted friends of your loved one and your family.

Perhaps the hardest reality of aging for some seniors and their families is memory loss. There is no training to prepare you to care for a person with cognitive challenges, and there comes a time when love isn’t enough. Manor Lake Gainesville is here for you when it’s that time.

Whether brought on by Dementia or Alzheimer’s, these residents require the special care, understanding, and skills of Manor Lake caregivers. They are sensitive to a senior’s moods and know how to interact with and redirect an agitated resident.

Just as in Assisted Living, we provide medication management, housekeeping, laundry, and meals. In addition, there are other measures we take for keeping residents safe and calm. To begin with, access to this area of the community is restricted exclusively to families, visitors, and staff. This prevents disruption and stops residents from wandering out into an unsafe world.

We have a beautiful garden area just for Memory Care residents, so sunshine and fresh air is a few steps away.

Every resident wears a call pendant, so at the push of a button, a familiar face is there to help. A pull chord call system is also in each room.

Manor Lake Gainesville is just about 10 minutes from where we live, so we will be able to get to my mom quickly to see her and visit her a lot. It was brighter, more cheerful, and had a happier feeling to it. The person that gave the tour was amazing. Her name was Christy and she's just so knowledgeable. The staff doesn't have a lot of turnovers, so most of the people have been there since it first opened. It was impressive to see the way they work together and that they chose to stay. She was walking us through and knew everybody's name. All the residents spoke to her, too. We're going into a studio and they are updating them with hardwood floors. I liked the menus and the choices they had. They have a huge board in the lobby that shows the things they do every day. They have exercises, a movie theater where they show movies to the residents, and pastors that come in to do Bible study and services. They also have garden plots out back where their residents can plant things and harvest them, which was neat.

My dad is at Manor Lake Gainesville. They were very wonderful to work with. They've just been really great throughout the whole process. Their place is very well maintained and has a very homey feeling. He's in the assisted living part. They have a game room, an exercise room, activities throughout the day, and an outside garden area. My dad enjoys the food very much. The calendar of activities is great.

Making the decision to move your loved one into assisted living is difficult. Our experience with the staff of Manor Lake has been incredible! Christy, Marketing, continues to be a blessing to us - she really means she's there for you and will be there for you even after your loved one moves in. Tiffani, the nurse, is wonderful - when I had a question that needed to be researched, she promised to get back to me by the next day and she did AND it was her day off!! The care givers are attentive and kind. I've been on the phone with my loved one and it's time for an activity they usually go to. When they weren't there someone came to make sure they are ok. My loved one reports the food is really good and is enjoying the activities. A big plus for Manor Lake is everything is on one level. With the pandemic, being able to go to my loved one's window and talk (using our cell phones on speaker) through the window is great - it feels like you are together and closer than on FaceTime. It is with my whole heart that I can honestly provide a 5-Star rating for Manor Lake!

We went to Manor Lake yesterday. As far as size and quality, it's very grand and they were gracious. The staff was warm, friendly, and caring. The size of the apartments is the average size that I've been seeing. They usually run close to about a thousand sq. ft., maybe a little smaller. They had an exercise area, and a beauty shop. They had a dining room and a kitchen. They had a common area with a television, and a big fire place. It's a very nice place. I didn't see them doing any activities. They do have an activity board where they do daily activities, but I wasn't witness to any. The dining area was open and clean. I saw the menus and they were very nice. The dining was large and the tables were purposely spaced out because of Covid.
