Lakes at Gainesville Assisted Living is pleasant and peaceful. Everyone is friendly. It's clean. The staff are very informative. They have stayed in touch.
They are updating the rooms. They're very nice and very up to date. They're doing very well with it. They haven't been owned by this company very long, but you can tell they are improving it, updating things, freshening things up, and so forth.
They have a salon, and they have a courtyard. They're developing gardens for the residents to be able to use. It's not a very big facility, so there's not a whole lot. They are active. I was told that they have outings. I've received a couple of invitations to some activities they have there, if I can get my mom there; unfortunately, we're not able to do that. Even not being a resident, they have informed us of some activities.

The staff is excellent to my mother-in-law. They'd come at any time she wants them to come. Her room and the food are very nice. We picked this facility for her because it is close to where we live and very convenient for us. She has a little dementia and she feels comfortable there. It's just a small, one-floor building, so it's easy for her to get around.
