Covenant Woods is a very large community. We have a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. The good part is I don't have to do any cooking because all of the meals are provided, though I have a hard time getting used to an a hour and a half each meal. It takes a long time because you have to get down there and get a table, and then you wait, they bring one thing, wait, and then you finally finish your meal. If you do that three times a day, it eats up all the hours. It's pretty decent for what it is. The staff is very good, and they have a bus that's handicap-accessible. They came right up to our house the day we moved and picked my wife up. I didn't have to load her into a car, so that was good. They do the same thing for doctors' visits, so it's very convenient. We exercise twice a week and have bingo and different groups that come in for entertainment, like square dancers and bands. During the Christmas holidays they have a lot of choirs who came in. They have something going about every day that usually lasts from half an hour to an hour. They have a beauty and barber shop here that's pretty convenient.

Covenant Woods is the best place in Columbus that we found. The place is super; I would recommend it to anybody. It has a cafeteria that I ate in, and the food is excellent. Everything is 100% great. I don't have any complaints about anything.

Covenant Woods is nice. It is a really good place. My aunt is there now. It is very easy to live in. She seems to like it. It is reasonable. The facility is very spacious. It is in a good location. Many of the residents can come and go, so there is a lot of freedom. My aunt has a bedroom and a living room. They have all kinds of stuff. They have movie theater. It is really nice.

Covenant Woods was great, and they were very positive. They have four levels of care and lots of activities, and we also like the way it was presented. I would absolutely recommend them. The apartments were very home-like, spacious, and warm. The food was excellent, and the staff was beyond belief -- really good.

The staff are very helpful, the amenities and the grounds give off the impression of a 5 star vacation resort, not an assisted living community. The people are always helpful, there is 24 hour security with access control gate. They even plan weekly events and monthly resident gatherings to keep everyone social and limit the feelings of isolation and abandonment issues sometimes associated with moving away from your home and loved ones and into an assisted living facility or nursing home. The assisted living facility is very expensive, I find it would be rather difficult for those living on a fixed income to be able to comfortably afford the place. My husband and I do help her with the monthly fees. One thing that is great is that the utilities are covered. She has the privacy of living in a separate apartment home, but the security of knowing that help is close by if she should ever need it.

My Great Aunt has been living at Covenant Woods in Columbus, GA for about two years now. I try to visit her at least once a month and have had nothing but outstanding experiences with them. The living and dining facilities are super clean and have a nice smell, which is unique compared to every other assisted living facility that I've ever visited. Her memory is not very good, so she has a nurse that stays in close contact to ensure that she has taken her medication properly, while still allowing her to live independently while she can. They have lots of activities to keep their residents busy and active, my Aunt, at 79 years old, even has a boyfriend that she met there and has "dates" with. The residents are also offered educational opportunities, they can take little classes and fun things. Covenant Woods is definitely on the pricy side but it is worth every penny and we will have her there until she requires more supervised medical care.
