The Oaks at Braselton was nice. The people were very nice and very accommodating, but it was dark and it wasn't very uplifting. You walk into the rooms, there's your living room, then you go to the back and it's your bedroom with a tiny little window. The bathrooms were small. I didn't like them at all. It's not an uplifting facility as far as the atmosphere. The staff I interacted with was very nice. The dining area was small and dark. They just needed more windows in that facility. They had a salon and a fitness room. The theater room was just a room with a big screen and just regular chairs like you sit on in the dining room. The facility looked clean and smelled good. The staff was very accommodating, letting me come and walk, and they're very open to everything. The room was a big downfall there because it was just dark. They've got people living there that like it, so I guess, it's a personal preference.

My aunt is a resident of The Oaks and we are very happy with the community. She tells people it is her home and that the staff are here family. Her only complaint is that her closet doesn't fit both her winter and summer clothes! The building is beautiful- like a ski lodge and everyone is very nice and caring. I would certainly recommend considering this place for a family member.
