Ashton Manor At Sugarloaf was not engaged or involved. My dad was hardly ever dressed. We'd go visit him and he would be in an adult diaper most of the time. They need to staff more people and check in more often. He never got out of his room. They never came to get him and encouraged him to go out. The food was always cold. It always came in a styrofoam plate. It was a very small portion. They had activities, but you had to be able to wheel yourself in or use your walker to get to those activities. They didn't come and prompt you to go.

My mom moved into Ashton Manor At Sugarloaf two weeks ago. The people are very friendly. The place is clean, the rooms are nice sized and the price is reasonable. The staff is extremely friendly. She said the food is ok, not bad. I like how large the rooms were and the cleanliness. The layout is nice, they have a courtyard, and it's kind of small. I have just one complaint with them and I think there's not enough activity.

I toured Ashton Manor At Sugarloaf. It's inviting and seemed to be pretty clean and the people were friendly. It was well kept, and it was fairly modern. The rooms were spacious and bright. The painting is bright. The staff was informative, friendly, and nice. We were looking for someone to transport my brother-in-law to transport him to dialysis, so they were willing to set that up. The dining room was clean, spacious, and nice.

I toured Ashton Hall, and I got a good impression because the front was clean and shiny. However, it was too far away, and when I went to the bathroom I saw feces on the floor. The staff member was very pleasant and accommodating. I saw a bedroom for two people, and a shared room. I didn't like it.

A Very Concerned Child

I would not recommend that you take your love one to this facility if you really care about them. My dad was there for a year and it was not a good experience. I would make sure he had incontinence products but I'm convinced they were using some of them on other patients because they would leave so quickly. No matter what time of day I visited, the residents were just sitting around looking like they were over medicated. They never did any activities with them. The food was horrible as well. My dad constantly complained. Some of the staff was ok but they have a high turnover ratio. Please send your love ones to a place that really cares and don't just want to collect a check.

My father-in-law has been in Ashton Hall since last year. The staff is really nice and very accommodating, and they keep it clean. We really haven't had any problems at all, and I also had a brother-in-law who was there three years ago who stayed there for two years before he died, and he always liked it. It's real good. It's just that my mother won't be able to go there because they do not take Medicaid or Medicare. It's strictly pay as you go. My father-in-law doesn't participate in anything, but they have different group functions doing different things. Back when my brother-in-law was there, they were always doing functions for different holidays, shopping, and going to baseball games. My father-in-law goes to the dining room and has the same group of people that he eats all three meals with. The food is good, and he enjoys eating there.

My mother has been a resident at Ashton Hall for 3 years now. Her transition was a little rough but the staff did a great job of making her feel welcome and she eventually got over her fears. The food is always exceptional and the owners are always on-site or available. Mom loves it here and that makes us happy!

I placed my dad in Ashton Hall. It was close to me, but I’m not impressed with their amenities. There are not a lot of activities. I want him to stay stimulated daily. He still has a great mind, but he is not really using it. The room is nice though. It’s clean. The staff is great. However, they serve the same breakfast because that’s one of my father’s complaints. He tells me that they serve the same thing everyday.

My father is in Ashton Hall, which is family owned and very homey with really nice people there. It's like you're living in someone's home rather than a facility. We just moved him in this morning. It's very comfortable. Right now, he is on level 1 assisted. He is just getting meals and doesn't need any kind of medical care at this point. They seem to have a nice dining area with a varied menu including different selections every day. They have weekly socials, game nights, trivia nights, outings once a month to a museum or the aquarium, and monthly birthday celebrations for everybody born that month.

My mother has lived at Ashton Hall for 3 years. We have been very pleased with the level of service there. The food is good and the guy that runs it, Curt is a nice guy who always answers my questions and is patient with my mom. I know that she can be stubborn. Thank you.

Be we care
Have a family member who is currently living here. We are in the process of relocating him. First, of all the owner of the facility never greeted us as anytime he sits in his office not bothered. You have the so called manager Mandy running this facility. I have never in my life come across someone who is so unprofessional and uncaring as this individual. This facilities only concern is too have our loves ones in wheelchairs and medicated. The staff are very unprofessional as well. This place is a joke to say the least. I rate this place all zero's.

Right Way!!!

I rate them a 4 for the facility and the cost to live there, but I rate them a 1 based on ethics, knowledge of providing adequate care and treatment for the elderly community that have dementia, Alzheimer's, and any other debilitating diseases and illnesses. The people in charge are in dire need for training on positive guidance they bully the workers, residents, and attempt to do it to residents. Last statement: Treat people the way you want to be treated. Examples: Loving, Kind, Ungrudgingly, Smile, Kind Words, Service,... and the list goes on. PS-Then your organization won't have to worry about getting reviews like this from anyone.

I like the fact that Ashton Senior Living is nice and clean. The staff were quite excellent. They offer three meals a day. They gather the residents in the morning for a Bible study or other things. The rooms that I looked at have two rooms and a bathroom. The rooms were pretty good, but it’s just very expensive.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. My grandmother was in Memory Care for about a month and a half. Within that time, they doped my grandmother up to the point where she could not talk, nor sit in a wheelchair. She had infected bed sores, she was severely dehydrated, and contracted e-coli while she was in this Memory Care. During this time, we were never notified that my grandmother was not eating nor drinking at all, and we visited daily. My grandmother was one day away from dying! Do not send your family here. The staff are not even trained to deal with Dementia.

The Ashton Hall is nice and clean, but their eating area needed some updating. My mother had been to a hospital and was not able to get back to where she was, so I was kind of in a bind of finding a place fairly quick. Ashton Hall had been very accommodating. They didn't mind at all the time it took to get the finances straight, about how much and when. They just said "bring her on and we'll just get all that taken care of." That was very helpful during a stressful time when I needed to find a place for her immediately.

I saw many of the seniors just walking around the center not doing much. Most of the seniors were watching television. The center was very clean and neat yet it didnt have much activity going
