The staff is very friendly and I like them a lot; they’re very helpful! Everything is included in the rental cost and this is critical for me. I had a heart attack, triple bypass and a stroke all with the last 5 years along with the loss of my oldest son and daughter. Desoto Beach Club has helped me in every way emotionally and physically and I’m very thankful.

I did a tour of Holiday Desoto Beach Club. The rooms that they showed me that were available to be seen were much bigger. It would be a better transition for people coming from apartments like my parents would be coming in from a two-bedroom apartment. So, for them, it would be a better transition because it was a much bigger apartment style. It was like being in the apartment.
They had like a little kitchenette, but they don't have stoves or anything, because they said it's a fire risk or whatever. I think you can get your own microwave or something like that if you wanted to bring that in. But a lot of them had a little kitchenette, a sink, and a little refrigerator. The staff who showed me around was great.

I looked at Holiday Desoto Beach Club. It was not bad. Everything was just kind of small. The pool was small. The rooms were small, but then the price was lower as well. Independent living was technically all they offered. I toured a one-bedroom, and it was like 700 or 750 square feet. It felt a lot less spacious than the other place. They claimed to have activities, but they certainly did not have a clubhouse. I saw a pool table and a library corner. Everything was kind of small, so I don't think there's a lot of activities there. I saw some people shooting pool. The lady that I toured with was very nice. The staff was not an issue.

My sister is a resident of Holiday Desoto Beach Club. She has been making lots of friends. They have transportation to doctors' appointments, shopping, riding around to see the city, and things like that. She really likes it. They have a salon and a pool. They have exercises in the pool and also other exercises. It is really pretty and well-kept. They have chairs outside for the residents. The patios are nice.

This community is wonderful! Deena, Jose, Kelley, John, and the staff are friendly and caring. They are quick to respond to my parents’ needs. Activities are varied - music, exercise, movies, crafts. Many doctors come right to their door! This is important to me because it is hard to keep up with all their appointments. It is even better when they have included transportation. While some area need updating, the building is immaculate and visually appealing - beautiful plants and flowers. The PT, OT group is beyond friendly and thoughtful. I have noticed great improvement in their therapy. Maria even made cookies with my mom, who misses baking. My only negative comment is the food. Soups are very good. Cakes, pies, desserts as well. But bread should be thick, tomatoes thickly sliced and red, Turkey freshly sliced, fries crispy. Maybe less grease. More veggies on plate. I do like how the fat/carbs/etc. are listed on the menu.

I thought the people at Holiday Desoto Beach Club were good listeners and they were enthusiastic and honest. Those are important things there. They offer lots of activities and the units were clean. We ate lunch there and it was very good. The nice thing about it is you were seated at the table and people waited on you. They bring the food and it was well prepared. You get bussed out into town if you have to go to a doctor or you have to go to some special event. They have a lot of events and they take you places outside, so you're not stuck in there. I think the people that run it are just so helpful. It's just a little far, that's the only thing.

We moved my sister to Holiday Desoto Beach Club. Upon entering, the staff greeted us. The staff understood what I was going to need. The place was immaculate. There were a lot of people passing by that said hello. They were very cheerful, and they wanted to know who would be living with them. It was comforting for my sister. It's an active community for an individual who happens to be an active person.
We talked about the prices and came to an understanding pretty quickly. They get "three hots and a cot" (if you will). Their amenities and activities are pretty significant. They have rooms there for arts and crafts, a library, a movie area, a card area, and a beauty parlor. We saw groups of people joining in with the activities. There were people sitting, talking, and enjoying their evening after dinner. If you want to join and participate, it's all over the place. They have bulletin boards of things for an individual to do every day. They have breakfast scheduled from 7:30 to 8:30.
The room is a 400 square foot studio room. It was large and bright. They have a porch on the outside. During better weather, she can open the door and just sit outside and watch the trees.
I was there a couple of times to help my sister, and I was always greeted by the staff. I just love it there. It's wonderful. I met the chef, and that was really nice. I had dinner there. It was definitely a senior person's meal. I had two sandwiches with a bowl of soup; it was good.
It was a nice building. They're going to renovate the floors. They have rugs, so they're going to take those out and rebuild it better.

I toured Holiday Desoto Beach Club. I like the apartments very much. I like the view, and I liked that it had a pool. The lady who gave me the tour, I was supposed to see if she had a floor plan that fit my needs, and if so, that would probably be the place I would choose. She has not called me back, so maybe she couldn't find the right floor plan.
She was excellent, it was an excellent tour. I think she was the lead person to do tours. The problem of all of these places I see is if the bedroom is large, the living area is too small. If the living area is large, the bedroom's too small. So, that's the problem I have with all these places.
I had lunch with the lady. The food was good. It was a nice size dining area, quite a few tables, and it was a nice area. The whole place was very nice. I liked it very much.
The amenities, it has a pool, and that's very important for me. I have a pool in my home right now, and I want to make sure those places have pools. They had quite a few activities. I think that of all the places I visited, that was my first choice so far.

Desoto Beach Club has been wonderful. The residents seem to be very friendly. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I look forward to moving in there and taking advantage of all their accommodations.
They have three meals a day, free housekeeping once a week, and I get my bed changed once a week. They do have entertainment, and bus transportation if I need it. So far, so good. I'm very impressed.
There was a little problem with the parking for the handicapped, but they're supposed to be improving that. The beauty shop is there, I saw it. However, it wasn't occupied at the time. But I know where it is and how to get there, and it is on-premises. They do have a library. The only thing I hesitate about is the parking, but they said that they were about to redo one of the parking lots and accommodate more handicapped parking. The dining area seemed to be very good. It was clean, and it was set up, ready to go. We were there yesterday, they were getting ready for lunch at noon, and it was very well set up.

I went to look at Desoto Beach Club. The apartment that they showed me and the one I could afford was so small that I couldn't put my queen size bed in it. The girl who showed me around was very personable and had no problem answering all my questions. The grounds were well-cared for. I liked the pool. I got to speak with a couple of the residents, and they were very happy and very pleased with what was happening there. I just got turned off because of the dirty carpet in the hallways, but not the unit that they showed me. The dining area was pleasant looking. There were tables, a lot of light, and a very pleasant appearance.

We had some friends at Desoto Beach Club assisted living and we went there and visited them. The place was very well run and organized. We had lunch there and the food was good. They had a lot of activities and they also had transportation to doctor's visits and transportation to the public food store so that was satisfactory.
They had an activities room and an activity coordinator who put up a month's calendar of different things that are going on from movies to bingo. They had an outdoor area, I saw the lounge chairs outside. I think the price was alright.

I liked Desoto Beach Club. I liked the location, and the property was clean. Everybody was friendly, the apartments were nice. The marketing manager toured us. She was very nice. Her name was Trish. She's very knowledgeable about everything that goes on in their community, and she was good. The dining area was very clean, spacious, the menu was very good, and seemed to have a lot of options. The rooms were spacious, some of them. They just had a dinette, which is fine. They have chair volleyball, pool volleyball, bingo, they had trips to the mall. They had all kinds of things. It looks comfortable.

Desoto Beach Club was close to my home. It seemed clean and nice. I did not like the dining situation or the elevator situation. One elevator did not seem like enough for the whole building of over a hundred units, especially when everybody goes to dinner and meals at about the same time. And also, the meal times were very limited and early; I don't think they're going to work for my mom. Otherwise, it's OK. They have three sets of stairs, but my mother is 91. She could go down the stairs, but I wouldn't be happy if she was using the stairs, and I don't think she would like waiting for the elevator, and it would have to be a long walk because it's pretty spread out. So, having one elevator just doesn't seem to make sense to me. The staff was very friendly, and very accommodating. She was fine; she was nice. The rooms were adequate. They're nothing luxurious, and they have minimal kitchens, but I guess that's because they think you're going to eat three meals a day down there. The laundry situation was not ideal either. My mom likes laundry in her unit because she's particular. We saw the pool, we saw some people playing cards, and we saw the therapy dog come. For the money, it's a decent value.

What I liked the most about Desoto Beach Club was it seemed to be a very friendly community. I spoke to a couple of residents that we met in the hallways, and they seemed to be happy living there. I wouldn't want to cook more than breakfast and maybe warm up something because the kitchen was fairly small; it was not a full kitchen. So, it was a positive thing that they offer you three meals a day. They also have a very nice screened-in heated pool, a small gym with treadmills, and that kind of stuff.
The only thing I didn't care for was the carpets they had on the floor. I personally don't like the industrial wall to wall carpet because in some places it was dirty, but they were in the process of putting in some kind of a wooden floor or laminated ones. The lady who toured me has called me until last week, at least once a week to follow up on me, and she has always been kind and has always offered me to come back and have lunch with them or come and see a group session.
When it comes to the structure of the building, it was good (as well as the cleanliness of the place). I saw a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom. The units were nice and clean. They weren't modeled or staged, but they were just empty. You could see what furniture of yours fit in there, and you could also take measurements. They gave you a floor plan, and all this good stuff.

We actually ate at Desoto Beach Club. I wasn't happy with the rooms. They seemed sort of small. The people were good. They seemed to have activities. It was not as clean as some of the other places. The staff seemed fairly knowledgeable. They were lacking in some areas. They didn't seem as friendly as some of the places we'd been to. The food was very good and decent. The dining room was nice. Everything seemed OK. They had most everything. It just didn't seem as comfortable, and not well taken care of. There was a lot of dust on the items and in the community areas. The location was good. It was right by a lot of places.

The tour at Desoto Beach Club was informative, and I would hope my friend would be able to go and live there. It's wonderful, clean, there's a lot to do, and the staff was very nice. But if you need assisted living, I'm not sure that they have assisted living there. The rooms were pleasant. I would live there, they were big enough without being too overwhelming, they were clean, and they were just beautiful. I met the chef, and everyone said the food was excellent.

The staff exceeds all expectations and goes all out to answer your concerns and problem. The amenities leave little to be desired, management has handled the pandemic in a very thorough way. Social activities are great and varied.

I have moved into Desoto Beach Club. It's like family. My apartment is wonderful. Their amenities are tremendous. They have a heated, full-size swimming pool for exercise, which is good for you, they got in-house physical therapy, and they got a nice dining room. It's just beautiful. The menus are pretty good. They have a lot of choices.

My dad moved into Desoto Beach Club. I have visited him multiple times and so far the experience has been positive; it's very good. They were shut down as far as the activities when he first went in. Because I'm his caretaker I was able to go in. Of course they had protocols before you go in like taking your temperature and so on, and I'm only allowed to see my dad. As far as the activities, from what I understand, they have just recently opened up to a few people, but it's not full blown, and they're very cautious. It's been great. The staff has been very accommodating, they've been very informative, and are pleasant to be around. The conversations I've had and the walk in process has been very good. From what I have seen, the facility is very clean and nice.

Desoto Beach Club seems like a really clean community and I would lean toward them. There wasn't much going on since we visited during lunch time, but it seemed like everybody was interacting with each other. It seemed very nice. The dining hall seemed clean and nice.

Desoto Beach Club is very clean, nice and affordable, plus it's also close to my doctors. That's why we picked this place. The staff is excellent, the food was very good and all the residents there were really friendly. They sat down with me and ate with me. The room that I picked is a very small studio, although they have a variety of rooms, that's what fits best with my income. I wanted a place with a pool and near churches and other places, and they are all those things.

I think the food is very good. I have a large studio apartment that is just what I need to have. Recently upgraded with new carpet, paint and flooring. We have a swimming pool, chapel and private dining Room for private parties. We at the Desoto beach club are receiving a very nice quality of life, happy, good friends, feeling of having a well balanced life at this time in our lives. We are blessed to have a director of activities that is on the ball and has something of interest for everyone; if you participate you can be active most days for 1, 2 or 3 afternoons a week. I choose not to live alone. I love people, the management are always willing to help you with your needs.

Our Room has plenty of light and space, we like it very much. Pamela is outstanding at scheduling and leading activities. Pamela does an outstanding job keeping us aware and she gives her all and clearly enjoys her job. Todd and Jose have been very helpful to me and they are very concerned and knowledgeable managers. We play volleyball, music, various lectures and musicians who entertain us. I use the swimming pool daily, I use the TV for my Spanish and art appreciation classes. I like the snacks available 24 hours, but best of all I like my fellow residents, I am very fond of many of the friends I have made here. There are many interesting residents with a wide variety of experience. Pamela the activities director also does an outstanding job keeping schedules alive and clear.

Desoto Beach Club: I have resided here since 4/18. I have a one bedroom apartment looking out on a wooded area which I love considering I am a country gal. Am enjoying my life here as it is a friendly, congenial and active facility. The staff is friendly, helpful and always ready and willing to help in any way. And believe me with people my age there are plenty of ways and things that they help with. Plenty of activities on campus and also trips to places that the residents have suggested. Yes, there are walkers and wheel chairs but these people are more "active" than those of us who do not need them "yet". Beautiful swimming pool that I use about 4 days a week. Have many special events such as "Casino, Havana and International Food" events just to name a few. A great place to call home with its rich family environment.

Desoto Beach Club is a very friendly place, and my friend felt at home there. It's been excellent so far. The staff is wonderful, and she said the food is excellent. The room could be a little bigger. They're very involved in putting on fun activities for the residents. Pricing is very reasonable, but they told me they're going to raise the rent every year, which I'm not happy about.

I like the Desoto Beach Club very much. The managers and the people working here are fantastic. I swim every morning and the food is great. I get the feeling we're eating all the time. It would be wonderful if dinner was at 7:00 at night instead of 5:00. You eat at 8:00, 12:30 and 5:00, and it's pretty close together. I like the room and the terrace. We have a nurse here, but they also have trips to doctors and things like that. The staff is very lovely. Their activities are rather limited. They have bingo and exercise. The price is quite reasonable.

Desoto Beach Club is a well-kept-up place and has good amenities. What my mom really liked about it was the screened-in pool. It's well-designed and the management is great. The food was good. They have different-sized rooms. They have a small exercise room with a few bikes.

We visited Desoto Beach Club, and it was very nice, but not for me. They serve three meals, the apartments were very nice, very clean, and the people were very elderly.

I like Desoto Beach Club. The place was very pleasant, and the rooms were adequate. Their menu was good. They had a variety of food and there were choices too. If you miss your meals, there's always something you can snack on. They have a pool to swim in, but it is out in the sun, and there isn't any shade over it. However, there seemed to be a lot of activities.

Desoto Beach Club has quite a few different-sized apartments, some of which are oddly shaped but very adequate. The staff is very helpful. The place is very easy to find and convenient. The grounds are beautiful, with a lot of shade trees. They have bus trips every day to stores. The menus look very good, and the place is very clean.

I toured Desoto Beach. The gentleman who took us through was very helpful and answered a lot of questions. You could tell he enjoys what he does. I liked that they had a balcony. I saw a lot of residents who all looked very happy and enjoying themselves. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. The dining area was very nice.

We thought Desoto Beach Club was good. It was the community that we liked the best. The rooms were adequate and suitable to our needs. They had various activities like card games or groups that enjoy puzzles or senior activities, but we found that the price was a little more expensive than we thought.

Desoto Beach Club was just farther away from us, but they have a lot of amenities. The rooms were nice, neat, and clean. Everybody seems happy. The staff was very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable.

I was at Desoto Beach Club 2 months ago. It was a terrific place, I liked it, and I liked that it’s part of the Holiday system. I can travel to different Holiday Clubs in the area. The rooms are nice, the washer and dryer are on each floor, and they’ve got transportation. They provided 3 meals a day, I had a meal when I was there, and it was very good.

I went to Desoto Beach Club, and actually signed up there for six months. It’s a clean facility. I went there with my family. We ate there, and they have good food, good security, and safety programs. Their independent-living situation was just fine with me. The staff was all friendly, and very accommodating.

My mom liked Desoto Beach Club. I thought it was very clean. They've remodeled, and my mother liked the floors. I liked the apartment and the convenience of the walkway around from the back to the front and its little porch. I thought it was nice.

Desoto Beach Club was absolutely gorgeous. It was warm and fuzzy feeling with top-notch food and phenomenal staff. They were so warm and inviting, cordial, and delightful. The apartments were spectacular, and the grounds were gorgeous.

Desoto was very nice. It was very clean, the people were really nice, and I think it was one of the best places I’ve seen. The food was good, the rooms were fantastic and updated, and it was really homey.

We visited Desoto Beach Club for my parents. They have been really nice as far as the product. It was very clean and very nice. The personnel that I did meet seemed very nice. They do bus trips, paintings, art classes, and all kinds of exercise. They have a card room. They have all these social activities.

We found Desoto Beach Club for my mother. It is only nine years old, so it is very modern and clean. The studio apartment is really big. It has a full size refrigerator and sink, so it is really a good deal. Their apartments are spacious, modern, and nice. I absolutely recommend this facility to others. The staff is very nice. They're very accommodating and helpful. They're nice people.

The rooms at Desoto Beach Club were nice. They range from studio to two-bedrooms. They have garages for cars. The place was clean, caring, and convenient.

We visited Desoto Beach Club, and it was very nice and was nicely kept up. It's extremely clean. It was beautiful. The size of the one bedroom apartment looked appropriate for mom, but it was expensive. She would be able to have her cat which is important for her. Everything we saw was good. It was very positive; it's just the cost that we are talking about.

My friend moved in to the Desoto Beach Club. It is very good. It is a nice, clean, and comfortable place. They had a lot of amenities. They invited us to lunch, and they had good food. The apartment is very nice, clean, and modern. It is in a convenient location. Everybody was very helpful and friendly. It is in a great location, and it is right by a brand new mall in Sarasota which is the most beautiful city in the country. It is a very nice place.

My mom likes it at Desoto Beach Club. My mom is now 10 minutes away from me instead of 2 hours. It was very nice inside, and I thought the staff was very friendly. She’s not too happy with the food, but she loves her room, and she really was fortunate that she got a room that had a corner. It has a nice living room, too. It has a little bit of shape to it and just enough space for her.

Desoto Beach Club was the first facility that we went to, and it was a good visit. We were able to eat there and the food is very good. It's less than 10 years old and it is right in the growing area, and we really like the facility. The rooms are very good, and this would be one of the facilities chosen if we decided to be in one.

Desoto Beach Club is absolutely a beautiful facility. It's a very lavish-looking place. I don?t think they take care of the staff there well because there is a high turnover rate, but the staff are very good to the residents. With the activities, they do have bingo, and I think they have a TV night in the lobby. But what I didn?t like is that food. We went over for Thanksgiving, and it was instant mashed potatoes and pressed turkey.

I had the opportunity to visit Desoto Beach Club. Over the years I have visited assisted living facilities, first for my mother, and then for friends. I never saw a better assisted residence as nice as Desoto Beach Club. My reception there as an interested client was impressive. After receiving an interview and an explanation of the services provided there, I was given a tour so that I could see for myself this modern, well kept facility. I was given the opportunity to see for myself the various options for apartments. Again, I was impressed. After the tour my host and I returned to the office where my host sought a commitment from me. Since I will have much to do to make the transition from my present condo living to the assisted living, I had to defer a decision. They are willing to accommodate me while I do that. However, that didn't sound too appealing. In the meantime I had a very fine lunch there and sat with three residents, The atmosphere there I found somewhat discouraging. At my condo we have a very social and engaging group of residents. The atmosphere there was very dreary. Although I am 86, I am very active socially. ( I maybe old, but I ain't cold). Therefore, at this time I am holding off making a move. When the right time to move comes, there is no doubt I will choose Desoto lakes Club.
I also had a nice visit at Horizon Bay. Their facilities are not as nice as Desoto Beach Club. I don't particularly like their location. However, I thought their apartments were better than Desoto.My reception there and the tour was very nice and friendly like Desoto.
