Bay Village was my first choice, and I think they're the best place. I live in a large house, and I was worried about it being too small when I move in, but their apartments were fine and seemed adequate for us. I spoke to the staff and a few of the people who live there, and I was told that they had good food. I didn't like that it's painted pink, but it looks like the kind of place where I could meet new people.

Bay Village of Sarasota is very nice but expensive to get into. They provide transportation to my friend's church. It's a huge, pink building with a huge pool. You feel like you're in the Bahamas in this place. If you get a one-bedroom there, it costs $150,000 just to get in, plus you still have to pay a monthly fee. It's beautiful, and they have everything, like a huge library. When you walk in, you feel like you're in a resort. They have a tiki hut where they do cookouts on Fridays, all kinds of clubs and outings, a big room for theater, big gatherings, musical performances, and a big social calendar. Every floor has a party every week where everybody on that floor gets together. They also have a social area on each floor with a little kitchen and a beautiful view of the inter-coastal water way and the pool area. It has nature paths and trails and pond around it for those who are able. It has a game room, exercise room and classes. It's a very nice community. They have a little cafeteria area you could go to if you want to have an impromptu meal or snack. They also have a lovely dining room and a lot of parties, events, and gatherings.

Bay Village of Sarasota was a nine-story building with three wings. At the end of each wing on each floor was a sitting and viewing area. There was a very nice, formal dining room for dinner and a snack bar down by the pool where you can get the same menu as in the dining room, but you can be in casual dress. There was a tremendous library. We spoke with a couple of residents who were extremely happy. The person who assisted us was excellent.

My wife and I have been residents at Bay Village for over six years. We thank God for bringing us to this place. We love our apartment, the programs, the entertainment, the opportunities for service and for fellowship, the Bible study time and Vespers on Fridays, the caring staff and the giant pool. My wife broke her leg recently and needed full-time nursing care. She is getting excellent care and I can visit her several times a day because I am about one minute away in our apartment. Everybody I know here at Bay Village is pleased, even delighted to be living here.

Bay Village of Sarasota looked very nice. The experience was very good. The staff was very good, very nice, and very accommodating. The room was lovely and adequately sized. They have games and exercise and many other activities. The dining area was very nice and casual, and the food was very nice. It was a nice place to be.

Bay Village of Sarasota is absolutely beautiful. It had every amenity including a bank, a grocery store, a beauty salon, and a gift shop. When you walk in, it’s like you've walked into a rich place because it’s gorgeous. The lobby is beautiful. They had a resident volunteer in her 90s who has lived there for over 10 years who came down and gave us a tour; she was a doll. She showed us a couple of different units that were really nice. If it was a situation where I wanted to buy a unit for my mother, then I would definitely consider that place. They have a pool, a fitness center, a craft room with painting, and a doctor’s office. They have a huge verandah where they have live entertainment for the residents periodically. It was like being in a resort. They serve all meals.

We're going to Bay Village of Sarasota. We chose it because it's a continuing care facility. The staff had been very helpful. They had a variety -- studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom -- and we're going to start with independent living. They had a gym, a craft shop, a country store, card playing clubs, and a swimming pool.

My parents moved into Bay Village about 4 years ago. They are in an independent living apt. with a stunning view of Siesta Key. I can't say enough about Bay Village. The staff are lovely, the place is spotless. I've eaten in the dining room often and the food is good. There are plenty of activities: live performances, movies, bingo, bridge, exercise classes, ping pong, a computer room, plus a beautiful pool and hot tub. There is a library, a gift shop, a small grocery and a beauty salon on the premises. They have parties for Halloween, the Kentucky Derby etc. and my parents have made a number of friends. My dad still drives, but when he can no longer drive they have a shuttle to take residents to stores, doctors etc. I live in NYC and it gives me great peace of mind that my parents are in such a nice environment.

Excellent, highly regarded facility with service and community to match. My Mother has an Independent unit and is very happy, safe, and secure there and has made numerous friends and acquaintances. Gorgeous surroundings and grounds, with cheery, helpful staff and residents who truly care and take an interest in each other and their community. Both my Sisters family and I visit often, stay for dinner, and enjoy the facility. People move here to Live. Couldn't be more pleased.

Horrible place. Lazy care givers. Mother received bed sores after being sent to the hospital by their inadequate care. She also fell while under their care. She was wearing a fall risk band. If you don't like someone. P, then this is the place for them.

I thought Bay Village was very nice. It was calm; it was clean. Everyone seemed to be happy to be there. I mostly dealt with the sales person; she was quite fine. We had a meal there, and the server was very nice. Overall, quite a good impression. We did go see a room. It's fine, a little bit small. I would recommend it to somebody who's looking for it.
