The nursing staff doesn't seem to be as concerned with the welfare of the residents as much as the rehab staff. Promises were made at the time of discharge that has yet to be kept.

I have a family member there, and they are being treated TERRIBLE. Yelled at by the employees, treated roughly,to the point of bruising. With no help from the head nurses as far as compassion or discipline to the employee. The rooms are ok, and the physical therapy is good, but the human caring just isn't there.

Every since my mom been in the place. Some of the staff members started out nice. After that they change. The place is horrible floors always nasty. Some of the employees are rude and not very helpful at all. The administrative staff there is not professional at all. The staff team only wants a paycheck but they don't care for the residents like they should. They always claim they are short of staff. Behind closed doors they treat them residents like crap. I wouldn't recommend a blind dog go to that place. Very irresponsible people there. They try and make themselves look good but in reality treat the residents bad.

The Great Escape

The case manager from the hospital said “I would send my mother to this facility” well she must not like her mother. I spent 12 hours in this facility, before I checked myself out and had a friend help me ESCAPE and take me back to the ER. I arrived at the facility via non-emergency transport on a Saturday. No one greeted me when I arrived, I was never checked in or provided an ID bracelet, my vitals were never taken and when I asked about receiving my medications I was told the doctor would have to review my records and he would not be in until Monday. Two different “agency” employees told me if I had the ability to leave I should. I felt unsafe and medically neglected. I am so thankful that I was able to advocate for myself and find a better facility. If you have a loved one there I would suggest you get them out of this place ASAP. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I suggest you stay far away from this place

The ABSOLUTELY worst facility ever. No correspondence, no follow up, horrific patient care. I am going to try to pull my mom out of there because she is so much worse than when she was brought there. Please do not use this facility. They should be shut down!

Horrible facility in every way possible. Ended the nightmare by finding my father laying on the floor in his own blood and feces for at least an hour on a Friday night and we had to get police to let us into the building after unsuccessfully getting nobody to answer the door or phones at 10:30 in the evening. Heard all the other patients screaming and moaning over a period of 3 days while nurses continued to ignore them. My father's roommate had 28 days of very bad experiences to share and they gave up the same night that my father fell trying to get to a bathroom and NONE of the employees noticed him for over an hour until he managed to call us on a cellphone and we drove over an hour for him to be taken to a real hospital in an ambulance. Disgusting pathetic facility in every way imagineable!!

My mother has been here for 5 yrs. Overall, the care here, compared to many places, is good. Their food could be improved. The nurses are friendly

My mother is in Quality Health Care Center. It's OK. The therapy and food are good. The rooms are perfect. Everything is good. They have a lot of stuff going on, like bingo, music, and outings. The dining area is nice. They also have a nice physical therapy room.

I had several stays at this facility. The best thing offered is the walk-in Spa. Some of the food I would not even feed to my dog. They can be rude, and I was (in so called words) a liar, because something was put on my tray that should not have been.. I was accused of taking the "goodies: out of the break room. The employees in the Physical Therapy are wonderful. The air conditioners are so old, most of them don't work. You only get 25 stations on the TV, and forget CNN. They aren't even flat tv's. The entire facility needs to be updated. After being called a liar, I was released the next day. Was so happy to get out of there and come home.

My Father has a terminal illness and we needed to put him in a facility near our home. Quality was the closest so we went with it. After about a month Medicare stopped paying for his treatment as he was terminal and would not improve. We had to then pay out of pocket for his care aprox. 7000 a month. My Father lives in a delusional world where he thinks his liver and kidney failure are bumps in the road and he will get better and can go home. He can not even get out of his wheelchair and into bed by himself. There are several nurses and attendants who are very good. But there are several who just have bad attitudes. One Pakistani woman will yell at us at every turn, when we brought my fathers dog in to see him she would yell we can not bring the dog in. Well we were told that we can when we admitted him to the facility. When I called the management we were told that if it was dining time in the dining room and people were eating then we could not bring the do through the dining room as per Florida law, OK so tell us the rule don't yell at us and tell us no dogs. Then we were given the code when we admitted dad for the workers dining room to use the coke and snack vending machines. The same lady every time would yell at us that this is her sanctuary and we can not come it. I would explain that we had asked management if we could use the machines to get coke for our dad as he does not like the white rock soda they give him. She would over talk us and when I said that it was OK she told us to shove it. WOW we are paying 7000 a month to be yelled at. I would look at a different facility if he were not a few weeks from dying.

I went to Quality Health Care, and it is a regular nursing home located at North Port. It is a nursing home, but compared to the other facility, it is much better. It is cleaner looking, and it is more modern looking. It definitely would have been a possibility if I was going to put my dad in a nursing home. They take Medicaid. It would have worked out if I had to go that route with him, but I'm trying to keep him out of a nursing home surrounding as much as I can. I heard good things about them. I was there between shifts and between meals, but they did have activities going on. I was there when it was President's Day, so they were all assembled in the little social room talking about President's Day and the Presidents. At least people were there, and somebody was making an attempt to bring them in to what was going on in the outside world. I thought that was pretty nice. The room looked pretty typical. They just looked like hospital rooms. They didn't really have much warmth to them, but it is a nursing home, and that is what I have come to expect. I would recommend this place as a nursing home.

I didn't like how the people at Quality Health Care Center behaved with me. Also the people who worked there have liberty to decide who they are going to take or not. Nevertheless, the facility was very pleasant and very nicely situated. The price was right. They were the most reasonable, they were $195 a day. I would have liked my husband that he would go there, but they didn't take him. The fellow who evaluated my husband said that he is not cooperative and that he is difficult. What do you expect? My husband has dementia.
