While the care given my mother while at Bon Secours Maria Manor was good, the care given to her personal items was poor. Be warned, do not take anything for a loved one that you don't want thrown away. They showed wanton disregard for my mother's personal effects. She passed on Christmas Eve and before I could get there to retrieve her one-of-a-kind photos and very personal items, they had been thrown away by the staff. Heartbreaking to lose the last items we had of hers.

Facility is beautiful, grounds are well manicured but the nursing staff could be a bit more friendly. My first experience with visiting my mother
In law was terrible.. I couldn't take her outside, couldn't help feed her, couldn't paint or file her nails, everything question was a hard "no"! Told me to go to administration for protocol!

Bon Secours Maria Manor Nursing Care Center has a very good physical therapy department. I also was a patient there, and I did so well in physical therapy. My wife is doing real well, and she's up and walking every day now. The place is in very good shape. The director of the facility has a good maintenance crew, and they keep the building upgraded every day. They have Bingo, people come in and play music, they do group exercises down in the activity room, and they have a priest who comes in every day and does mass.

My mother n law lived at Maria Manor for the past two years until her passing. She always said that if the time came, Maria Manor was the place she wanted to spend her final days. From the moment she arrived she was felt at peace. She voiced being in awe of all the caregivers. She'd say they were angels walking among us. Mary has 9 children and 20 plus grandchildren who visited frequently. They were surprised that staff remembered their names in between visits and often commented on how amazing the staff and food was as they often dined here when visiting. Mary loved being able to attend mass daily and particularly enjoyed the visits from the children at St. Paul's Catholic School, Holy Family and St. Petersburg High School. The pastoral care department was also a blessing to her, particularly Sister Flo. When we received the call and hurriedly picked the children up from school to be by her side, Sister Flo was there saying the rosary with her. One by one her beloved care givers came in with tears in their eyes to say their final goodbye's. We will forever be grateful to Maria Manor for the love shown to her and all her family.

As far as I can see, my dad is doing well at Bon Secours Maria Manor. They have activities every day. When I went there, the place was clean.

Cna Staff can be rude.
They had to be talked to more than twice because resident is not cleaned up. (Specifically, left so long in diaper that it saturates clothing, and more).
Clothing seems to turn up missing. Recommend you do meticulous inventory and your own laundry.
Building is beautiful.

Bon Secours is large and clean. The rooms were more institutional. The food is OK. My mother-in-law feels like it’s a safe place. She seems to have adjusted really well there.

After only nine months, my charge developed serious bedsores, pneumonia and a serious urinary catheter blockage. She moved to Maria Manor after 5 years in a distant nursing facility where she never encountered these problems. She was taken to ER, spent two weeks in ICU and did not return

My father has Parkinsonism with Lewy Body Disease. My mother and extended family care for him at home. He was recently hospitalized for a severe UTI and was transferred from St. Joseph's Hospital to Bon Secours for rehab. This is a lovely facility, almost 50 years old but well maintained. The staff is wonderful. Best of all there is a resident priest and Holy Mass is offered daily (communion service on Saturday). Bon Secours has given my mother much needed respite and is working hard to help Daddy be more mobil.
