Lake Seminole Square has everything, ALF, independent, and memory care. It was very elegant and lovely, but very expensive. The apartments were like condominiums and they even had dishwashers. It was everything you could possibly want. The people I met were lovely. Catherine, the head of marketing, was terrific. I met the director who has been there for 17 years, and he was lovely. I can't say anything negative about it. If somebody has the money, that's a wonderful place to go. I would love to live there. They have a full plate of activities; anything you can possibly imagine. As far as caring, you all would do well to send people there. They have libraries, a workout room, and a pool. Everybody I met was cordial, informative, and gracious. The food was incredible. You can have filet mignon for every meal if you want. It's beautifully done, beautifully served, and delicious. It was beautifully decorated, I didn't see anything out of place, and I didn't smell anything. It was just well done.

The facilities are beautiful, with views everywhere of Lake Seminole. It is a buy-in community with additional monthly fees that (for two people) could be anywhere from $3500 and up, depending on the size of the unit. We thought we would require a two-bedroom unit, but the one bedroom units are large and have decks that can be used for an office or extra living area. The pool here is especially lovely--heated, indoors. They have all the usual amenities, activities, transportation, etc. and the dining arrangements are especially nice and flexible. They have a wood shop, nice exercise area, library, etc, This is, however, one of the more expensive, luxurious continuing care communities in Pinellas. Lovely, if you can comfortably afford it.

My first choice, I think, would be Lake Seminole Square. I liked it very much. If you go in as independent living, there is assisted living and nursing on the same campus, so once you move there, you are well-guaranteed to be able to stay there. You may be moved from a room to something else; they would arrange that for you. I call it a three-in-one living arrangement. I have not yet gotten involved in the nitty-gritty of everything because before I move there, I want to know exactly how it works financially. Based on what I know now, I like Lake Seminole the best.

We’ve visited Lake Seminole Square, which we like very, very much. It was hard for us to choose between the one we decided on and them. Incredibly beautiful environment. It’s on a 5-mile long freshwater lake. It’s a glorious environment. The rooms were all very nice, large, airy, and bright. I’m coming out of a New York City/Connecticut environment where things tend to be crunched. Particularly the common areas; it’s like entering a French chateau. It’s just magnificent. You walk through it and you feel good. People came up to us and everyone was smiling. They were really happy.

Dad is at Lake Seminole Square and he likes this place. It’s a good facility and the people are nice. The rooms are very clean and they take really good care of my father. He really doesn’t move around much, but I know they have activities.

I had a very nice visit at Lake Seminole Square and I enjoyed it very much. The facility was excellent. I saw the rooms and their dining area and they were very nice. Everyone was very friendly. They had so many activities. They had bus trips and they also had a boat that could take you on a boat ride. They had classes you could take. You could be busy twenty-four hours a day if you wanted to.

The staff was so friendly and the other residents all seemed so happy. The grounds were beautiful and to top it off there is this gorgeous water fountain on the property. It was a very relaxed and fun atmosphere, a little bit pricy, but it is well worth it. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious better than some 5 star hotels in which I have stayed at. There are daily activities in which the residents can take part in, and not just your run of the mill Bingo games either. One the activities were called a Puzzle Party hosted by a local free paper called The Puzzle Pages where people came in and taught the residents puzzles like Sudoku and what have you and they could win prizes. It was such a nice place with such nice people I hope someday if I ever need an ALF I will be placed in one half as nice as this one!

When I went to visit the facility to see my grandparents I was impressed. The building is huge with four floors and four separate wings. The inside of the place is state of the art since it is a wealthier community. There are many indoor facilities within the complex including a gym, pool, cafe and game room. All are decorated with beautiful furniture and tile. The best part about it is the friendly staff that takes care of my grandparents and knowing they are well taken care of. They have staff that caters to my grandparents with anything they need even shuttle services. These services take them to a wide variety of places including doctor offices. Since the place caters to the elderly it was positioned to have a huge variety of doctors minutes away. Lastly to top it off the place is right on Lake Seminole with a beautiful view. The place is heavily air-conditioned since it is in Florida so multiple layers of clothes are almost necessary.
