Understaffed. No matter what FDVA say's. never know how many people will be working. In the building not what is on papet

I had my Dad who is 97 years old in this facility and I was thoroughly disappointed. My Dad suffered extreme weight loss not only due to his illness but also due to the lack of innovative thought on the part of the supposed experts that work in this facility. I expected the experts working there to inform me of the changes that were being made to assist my Dad but instead I had to continually ask for changes to be made in his diet and physical care and then I was never sure as to whether these changes were actually done. I showed up at the facility at random times to check up on my Dad and and was often so disappointed in his state of care that I had to call the Director of Nursing to step in. I was not able to get the care that my Dad needed in this facility. I brought him to my home where I will take care of him myself.

From when you first walk into this high-level nursing home to when you step out, you will be impressed. The nursing home is adorned with memorabilia from WWI and WWII and is conveniently located near a beautiful lake. The staff contains some of the highest quality care providers from 5 to 27 years of experience in the field. They are all kind and treat the veterans with the respect they deserve and allow them to go outside and get fresh air during free time. The days are set up on a schedule and there is an orderly routine that the veterans love themselves, but it is also flexible enough where the veterans feel that they are not controlled in what they do. The nursing home takes many trips to outside locations and is always taken by the activities director Mrs. O'Hare who has nearly 17 years of experience with veterans and seniors. Overall, this is a great agency with high a high quality staff and a great environment for any veteran.
