I am in rehab right now at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehab Center. The care is OK. It seemed lacking, but it's the only one that could get me in on an emergency basis. We don't get the things we need, so forth and so on. The room is fine. They have an exercise area, sitting area, and therapy area. The food is adequate. I never get a hot coffee. They know that I'm allergic to onions, but they still send food down here with onions in it. I can't eat it, but that's just my pickiness. The facility is nice enough. There are some common areas for the people. The staff members that do check on us and help us out are very nice. We get help. We don't get checked often enough.

I had a room to myself, the staff is super supportive, very courteous. The physical and occupational therapy is the best! There is a beautiful gym and therapy area. Also a beautiful courtyard. The support I received there got me my independence back.

This is a wonderful nursing facility. The staff are very nice and caring from the Business office, to the case manager and the nursing staff. My Aunt is very well taken care of, and she is happy and peaceful. Thank you all.

I have lived at the facility since 2004. The people have good attitudes, the nurses take good care of you, the front office takes care of you, next to home it's the BEST place to be.

Don't send your loved one here. Some Lasy aides, they don't care, most of them. Takes a long time to get even minimum care. Overworked, understaffed. Those ladies get no help. The person in charge of Atlantic shores should be ashamed of how they left my mom bleeding into her catheter all day. I've begged, pleaded, cried all day to get better care for my mom. It doesn't matter.

They have therapy, a gym and occupational therapy here at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehab Center. It's like a hospital set up. The hallways are very wide. You can always find somebody here to help you. It has a nice atmosphere. The staff and the services are good; however, the CNAs are a little on the lazy side. The rooms are a nice size, like a hospital room, and are split in half. They have bingo, arts and crafts, church services, visiting music, and a separate little exercise class if you don't have any therapy every morning. It's nice here and the food is good. I wish they had more activities.

The staff here is very caring and most have worked there a long time. But the place is definitely understaffed and that's a problem. Unless you are on site making sure your loved one is getting the care they need, service is delayed quite a while (diapers changed, medications supplied, patients forgotten). If the patient is a fall risk, I would be concerned as they don't have rails on the beds and they don't have the staffing to check in as regularly as I feel is needed. The rooms are nice, the place is CLEAN, everything was in working order, and they have plenty of activities to keep patients busy. The food is decent and there is a wide variety. Their pharmacy is located in Tampa (3 hours away) so there is a delay in getting new prescriptions. I was also very uncomfortable with male attendants changing and bathing female patients. Overall I was happy with the place but would be uncomfortable if I was not able to be there as much as I was.

We placed my husband in Atlantic Shores. It's a very beautiful facility. I think they do a great job dealing all his needs. I visit every day, and everything I've seen is outstanding. I think it's a good place for him. They have somebody in charge of activities who encourages them and entertainment that comes once a week. They have a craft room, bingo, and seem to have something going every day, which is good. We had a lot of challenges with the food, and they really worked until they could accommodate him. They made sure the meals are balanced, and they're doing an outstanding job.
