My mother will be moving into The Rose Garden of Orlando. It's a family business, it's private, and it felt very homey. It had everything that I needed. It's like a hotel that's turned into an independent living. The staff was amazing. They were very friendly, very energetic, and they work with me and kept me informed. I have no complaints. I'm very happy. The rooms are very good. They're not furnished, so you would have to bring your furniture, but they actually have donations where people donate, and I was able to get a lot of the furniture already from them. She's got a one-bedroom with a living room, so it's like a hotel. They have studios and one-bedrooms. They have the three meals a day, a gym, and a hall where they do dances and activities. They have an activities person that does little different things. They play dominoes, cards, and things like that. They also have a happy hour every week, and they have a place where they get haircuts and nails and things like that onsite. They're remodeling, so there's a lot of work to be done.

I'm at The Rose Garden of Orlando. It's very nice and very good priced. The food is good here and I'm very happy with it. It is so clean. The owner is also very nice. He owns one down south, too, in fact during the hurricane, they had to bring other people up here for a couple of weeks.
I have a studio apartment with a kitchen, one bedroom and a big window, which is enough for me. I have their cable and their internet, so I don't have to pay for any of that. They have a bus that takes you to Walmart, but they park it across the street and do not take you out front. That's the only problem I have with it. Everything else is perfect.
The staff are pretty good. They're all different nationalities and they're all very nice. We had a Christmas party and they were all up dancing and singing and everything. The food is really good. It's country cooking and you can always take what you left to your room.
Everything's clean and they're remodeling a lot right now. I would recommend it to anyone. It couldn't get any cheaper here. I'm paying less than $2000 a month, including everything. I'm on the third floor and when the sun comes up in the morning, I see the top of the trees and the sun coming up in the clouds. It's absolutely beautiful with the blinds open.

My overall experience with The Rose Garden of Orlando was great. It's a beautiful facility. The rooms are nice and spacious. I enjoyed the whole thing. That's one of the places that I'm thinking about going to stay at. I was very impressed. The room was immaculate. It was really nice, clean, and very spacious. I got to see a studio and a one-bedroom and both were nice. I enjoyed the tour. The dining hall was nice. I saw a recreation room, which was nice where the TV was and everything. They also had a room with a big television, so it was nice. It was laid out very nicely. The girl that I spoke with was nice also.

I chose The Rose Garden of Orlando. It is a great community. The upkeep is very good, and the grounds look very clean and nice. The rooms are satisfactory. They are clean. The staff is very good and very helpful.
Their food is very good. It depends on the meal, but I like it. The chefs are good.
There is a place for activities. They have outings for people who want to participate. They have bingo at two locations. There are happy hours, games, and a pool table. There is an exercise room, which should be completed soon. It is pretty extensive, and they have a ballroom as well. They are decorating for Christmas with trees and decorations. The value for money is very good.

The Rose Garden of Orlando was a little old, so I didn't like that. It was a little on the dirty side, so I would have to go in there and clean it for my friends before they moved in. But it was relatively close to where I live, so I like that. The owners were on site, so that was nice. They had a coffee bar slash wine bar, a library, a lobby, a meeting room, a party room, and a dining room. The staff said she was there for seven years, but I went there five years ago with my dad when he moved down here, and I didn't see that lady. So I don't know how long people are there, but she was fine.

I toured the independent living of The Rose Garden of Orlando, and it was an excellent tour. I like the setup of the apartments there. I saw a one-bedroom with a living room, and it had a beautiful view of the city, so it didn't feel closed up. The people who assisted me were Carina and Megan, and they were very knowledgeable about all the amenities and everything that we were looking for. Carina is going to set up a time and date for us to try out the food there. Everything was super clean. They have plenty of activities, they have a theater there, they have a little bar, a library, a beauty salon, a game room, and arts and crafts. They have a lot of amenities, which is perfect because it's what my mother needs.

We toured The Rose Garden of Orlando. I like the location and it is close to the mall. I also like the services they provide. They have an exercise class. It's a very nice facility. They have a lot of activities for the residents, and also the convenience that they have an onsite cafeteria, which is kind of nice. The entire staff was very good. Everybody was so friendly. You walk in, you think that everybody knows you. They're very friendly. The meal was really good. They invited us to a meal. It was very good. The dining room was of restaurant quality, and the menu has different varieties. They invited us to some kind of event. The dessert, the food, everything was very good. They have a library, they have a beauty salon, have an exercise class, and they have a game room. They have everything. They were going through some renovations, so it sounds like they were going to get better, too.

I went to The Rose Garden of Orlando. The lady who did the tour she's a sweetheart. It was clean and all the residents were there. There weren't many as they were having their outing that day, the residents were all very nice and happy. They all seemed in really good spirits. The facility, they were in the process of updating it. But you can see where they've kept up with the community. The staff seemed friendly. They have a lot of activities. They were very organized. They had a large porch area, they had an atrium area where it was like a garden. So they had a couple of outdoor areas. It's not a lot, but they had places where they could go and be outside, and still be safe and in comfort, not in the heat sweating it out. They had a ballroom where they throw balls and parties monthly, which I thought was kind of cool. They have a library, a game room, and they have a bar there for the residents. It used to be a hotel, they took and remodeled, so all the rooms are nice and spacious. They have private rooms, even the shared rooms which were semi-private were nice.

My grandmother is at The Rose Garden of Orlando. It felt more like a home instead of a facility. The people are really nice. The staff is very professional. It's clean, and they really care about their clients. The dining area is very nice, and the food is delicious. They have a whole monthly calendar that they post next to the elevator.

The Rose Garden of Orlando was a great community although my mother-in-law was unwilling to stay. We fell in love with this place. She's in the assisted living level where they provide her with daily meds. We're very pleased with the 2-room apartment, it was nicely laid out to begin with. We very much appreciated the staff and the lobby area was just great. So I have positive views about this community for my mother in law, given her situation. They have some wonderful tenants there, the few folks we met were great people including the staff. We will go back there if there's ever a chance. The people I interact with, given her situation, they went out of the way to accommodate my mother-in-law. They were really fine people. The manager or director, Mitch, did an amazing job working with my mother and getting her setup. All the staff members are really very helpful. In terms of activities, I think it's great what they're trying to do there.

Plantation Oaks Senior Living was nice, but it didn't have as welcoming an atmosphere as the other facility did. They're remodeling now so the impression wasn't that good, but that would make a difference later down the road. The atmosphere itself was not as comfortable. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. We didn't sample the food there. They gave me a list of house events and activities. The improvement will come when they've done the refurbishment. The one thing that kind of threw me off a little bit was that when we got there, people were sitting around in wheelchairs, and I wonder if they hang out this way all the time. It was before lunch, so it might have been that everybody was lined up for lunch.

My impression of Plantation Oaks was all positive. Their dining program looked good, and bingo, sports, movies, and other activities ranked right up there with other places. My mom is in independent living. The location of the community is not the very best because they are in an extremely congested area. The toll road and the thruway dumps out right in front of the place, so there is an immense amount of traffic. It's just unbelievable, so it's not a pastoral type of setting. Mom's room is 18x13 feet, so it's on the large size for studio apartments that we have seen. Melissa, the head of the facility, is a great and caring person. She bent over backwards to do all sorts of great things and is extremely accommodating.

Plantation Oaks had been a hotel, and I know the area pretty well. The overall floor plan was excellent. The only thing I had against that was that they were going to start construction, and I don’t like that idea, and eventually it will be graded, if not in the good area. On the south trail by Florida Mall is not a good area, but its way off the road. Once they get the construction done, I will go back and check it out.
I started talking to people that live there, and they are all very happy there, and I like the fact that they were happy. I had a meal there, and I loved the dining room. The food was excellent, and they do have a chef. They just passed their inspection, and the landscaping was good.

Plantation Oaks was nice at first but after living there for a while I moved. They often ran out of what was listed on the menu and their assigned seating gave you no options to meet other's. They had a lack of activities and for the most part you would find people sitting around in the lobby napping. Rules were also changed at the drop of a hat.

My father lived in Plantation Oaks for about a week. It was close to my house, they were very nice on the phone and willing to help us make the move. The rooms were nice, he has his own suite with a little kitchenette. It had a fairly nice bathroom. We placed our own furniture there. It was okay for a while, but it wasn’t working out for my dad and he left. There wasn’t enough activities for them. I walked in, and there were people in chairs sleeping because there’s nothing for them to do. Also, what made me mad about it was I gave dad a deposit which was non-refundable and I understood that, but I also gave him a month’s rent to go with it. I tried to call them back and they said they would call back, but they didn’t, and when I called them again they gave me a run-around.

Plantation Oaks was good. They have independent and assisted living. They had an option of apartments that didn't have access to the outside. I did see a one-bedroom apartment that had a porch screened-in and a back porch screened-in. It also had a full kitchen. This apartment faces the pool, which was nice. The residents were very active and moving around. They just looked like alive. They came up and talked to me. They were just very friendly and open about any information that I wanted. I was impressed with the residents there. The staff that assisted me was very friendly too. They were super nice. They showed me the whole facility.

I stayed in Plantation Oaks before. It was much nicer there. The price was much less than other facilities. They had many activities. Food and housekeeping was also better.

Plantation Oaks was a motel converted into an independent living facility. The restaurant was very good and the staff was great. However, I really didn't like it because it still felt like a motel and it was expensive.

When I first went to Plantation Oaks, they were very nice. They showed me and my brother around and they made a plan for my mom to come and visit. We had lunch there, but she was in a really bad mood that day. She refused to eat and she didn't want to move into anywhere. But they were very nice to my mom, and by the time lunch was over my mom had eaten and was laughing and joking with them. It seemed like a really nice place.
We met the owner. The owner said that mom will do fine there and he didn't see any problem at all. So we gave them the $2,000 deposit and even gave $500 extra because mom wanted her apartment painted a certain color and she wanted some wallpaper put out. I had already got the movers and everything all set up. Then three days before her move in date, they gave me a call and said that mom made up stories so they could not let her move in. I was floored. And they refused to give us our deposit back because they said it's a non-refundable. But I wasn't the one that backed out, they did.
