We looked at Allegro over in Fleming Island and the staff was wonderful and the people there were really joyful, but the rooms were so small. In assisted living there were no two-bedroom apartments, and so we would have to downsize terribly. We've already downsized to come here, and so we can't do that anymore. So we were very disappointed. The staff that we met and the woman that showed us around was just wonderful. It was just a wonderful place. I am so disappointed we could not go over there because they have beautiful grounds and there's a conservancy behind the place. It was delightful. We met people we thought we would love to be with, but it was just the size. They're on a big highway, but all around them and behind them is a huge amount of land and nature conservancy. It's just beautiful, and the whole place is just well taken care of, too.

The staff at Allegro was very professional, very personable, and answered all of our questions. She was delightful, was very thorough in the tour, and made sure that mom saw aspects of living there that were tailored towards her. We were there when they were getting ready to spring fling, and that was intriguing to her.

My mother is in Allegro so I’ve been there a lot. It’s very clean, there is no aroma, and the food is not what you have at home, but good. The staff is very nice, and very attentive. It has all levels of care, my mom has the highest level, and she has somebody with her 24 hours a day. There are lots of activities, trips, performances, bridge, movies, and they’re varied and nice. They really don’t allow the patients to sit in their rooms and not participate in life. They make them get out and do things. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place. My mom is happy and comfortable there.

The Allegro is very nice. The rooms and the staff are all very good. The cleanliness is very good. It’s a little more expensive than the one we went with.

Allegro is a beautiful facility, homey, and very clean. Everybody that I saw living there looked happy, and they had so much to choose from. It was a fabulous place, but expensive. My mother is in the memory care unit, and she does have her own room and bath; it is secure. I visited seven places, and it was the nicest and the most comfortable to me.

When I came in at Allegro, the staff looked very happy with their jobs, and they were interacting with the residents. That was important to me. I like the rooms. They're very nice and spacious, and my mom has a patio. They had walk pathways in the grounds and walkways that are easy to access. They had so many activities, and my mother is a very outgoing person. They have a multitude of exercises like yoga, Tai-chi, and body and motions for those who can’t stand and move as well as others. They also had church services which is very important to my mother. I liked that they had a lot of outside activities where they take them to the theater and out to other places of interest other than just sitting there all the time. I have eaten there a couple of times, and it’s nice because it’s all very dining. They have fresh foods not frozen or package foods. Mom has a private room in which she has a refrigerator, microwave, a sink, and cabinets, but they’re able to go out and still put their hands to doing things that they like to do. I like that they do have a pendant that they can wear, so if anything happens wherever they are in the community or around the community, they can push that. At night they close and lock the doors. They have someone 24/7 at the front desk and walking around the property, which is good.

I went to Allegro-Fleming Island to visit my mother-in-law. It's a new facility, and the staff were pleasant and very on their toes. It’s very clean and very orderly. The rooms were nice and are of good size. Most rooms have two people in them and a few had one. They have a hair salon and ice cream shops. I also saw some people massaging some of the patients. They have all kinds of stuff going on in the facility.

Allegro - Fleming Island was very, very beautiful and very expensive. My mom has friends who have gone there and she thought it would be nice, but she didn't feel that she could afford it. The thing that I didn't like about this place was that the person who talked to me was talking about people who lived there by name, and I was appalled that they would share personal information about them. If they talked about my parent like that, I would sue them. I don't think it was appropriate at all. I think she was trying to establish a bond, but it was highly inappropriate.

My father has been a resident for about 3 months and we're well pleased with how well he has adapted. The staff were wonderful at making his transition from home an easy one. He, surprisingly, enjoys and anticipates the activities and interacting with the other residents. He likes the variety and restaurant-style ordering of the meals. His room is nice and the therapy area is ideal. He enjoys spending time outside and this was a prime factor in our selection. The grounds and outdoor spaces for residents are nicer than other places we visited. This facility has met all of our needs!

We had lunch there at Allegro. The lunch was fine. The atmosphere is good. The surroundings are very pleasant. I'm getting to the age myself where if I where to go somewhere, that's where I would go. I think the staff were quite competent. The business manager was a very competent young lady. She corresponded with my niece in regard to my brother and worked very hard to make it happen for him. The rooms were adequate. They were not large, but they were fine. It's expensive as well, but it would be doable for me. The dining room was wonderful. The food was adequate. It was just lunch. They have different things that go on there. I think they leave the premises somewhat and go on different trips and things. My brother is not an active person, so he wasn't too interested in the activities. I guess it would be nice if the rooms were a little bit bigger.

Out of the facilites that we looked at, Allegro Fleming Island was the best. It was clean and everyone was helpful. The facility itself was well kept.

We visited this facility and took the tour. Beautiful, upscale facility. However, the "average cost" as quoted on this site is FAR MORE by $1000-$1500. at least, then what is seen here. This should be corrected.

Allegro has a secure area, but they didn't have skilled nursing that my mom needs. It only goes to a certain level of care. It was immaculate, clean, everything was so well-organized.
