I was in Life Care Center New Port Richey for rehab after I had my stroke two years ago. They were very good. They had good, nutritious food and portions that was right for you. You wouldn't be hungry there. There was a lot of physical activity. I did some weight lifting and walked a lot. They had markers to tell you how much walking you've done. It was a very good place that didn't smell and was very clean and very nice. I was a cook for 25 years, and they actually let me help out with cooking a couple of times one day they were shorthanded. The staff was very good and very helpful. When you call, they come; I did not have to wait. My daughter asked if my little dog could visit me, and they said as long as he had his rabies shots and he wasn't aggressive, she could bring him in to visit. There were plenty of activities. The grounds were beautiful, so you could walk around outside.

My mother was a patient here for short term rehab. It was a beautiful facility with very friendly, caring staff. Her private room was very nice. She had her own shower. The staff were excellent trying to meet her every need. The therapy staff were top notch. They were knowledgeable and professional. She made quick progress. I have toured several facilities in the area, this was by far the cleanest, I would recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab services.
