My dad is here. It is very good. I like the staff members very much. They are very dedicated. They went above and beyond to help us with my dad. He had a little tough time going there because of his dementia, but they were very helpful. His accommodation is pretty good, too. They keep it clean. Because of the coronavirus, I was only allowed to go in the day I moved him in, but from what I have seen, they keep it very clean. The place is very comfortable. I couldn't go and see everything, but so far based on what my dad needs and the cleanliness, everything has been very good. The day he moved in all the precautions were taken; they were pretty good about it. I was impressed about how all the employees were wearing masks.

My husband had a respite stay here. It's a very good place for him, it's a nice warm color, they treat the clients as people rather than residents with problems. He did quite well in the memory unit. The staff is very geared to dealing with dementia people and they try to get them to be more social. They have a lovely screened entrance porch, a lovely living room area, and I have nothing negative to say about it. It's very homey.

It was alright. We had lunch there, and the food was good. One of the things I didn’t like about it was the tiny elevator; it was claustrophobic. Cleanliness wise, it was good, and the staff was friendly, but we really didn’t talk to anybody but the wait staff and the person who was trying to sell us the place.

My mom was the very best story teller. Oftentimes, we would sit in the evening and she would tell me stories about her childhood, about her teen years, or about her career years. I was always mesmerized by the detail she would provide. In addition she would spend endless hours answering my unending questions about the topic of choice. Dementia has robbed my mom of that ability.
My mom now relies on my ability to recall and story tell those precious memories. When you are looking for a community to care for your loved one, it is critical that you find one that creates new memories for you to share with your loved one. Today was a PERFECT example of how the staff provided that opportunity. Two minibus loads of residents were provided the opportunity to picnic at Anderson Park on Lake Tarpon with their loved ones. Residents experienced the outdoors in ways they typically would not. The residents felt the warmth of the sun with the most delightful breeze passing through the pavilion on the edge of Lake Tarpon. I cannot count the number of times my mom told me how much she loved being in this environment.
The perfect description of the day came when a resident said to the director who was escorting the resident to the bus, “You have such a wonderful family.” The resident was referring to all the staff and residents who attended the picnic. THIS is the environment for which I will be eternally grateful my mom experiences each and every day.

We moved our father here after being disappointed in the facility we had originally chosen.
There was no comparison, it is everything and then some of what we were told and have seen with our own eyes. This place has the best staff, they are full of compassion for your loved one that you will go home so happy that you chose this home. Your parent or loved one will always be safe, busy, loved, fed, and surrounded by others that share the same memory struggles in life.
I am so glad we chose this home for my dad to spend his life in.
Go and take a visit you will not regret it.
Trust me .

My parents are staying here. My stepdad has to have a feeding tube, and this is the only facility that could accommodate the feeding tube. My stepdad has Alzheimer's, and my mother has dementia. They have activities, but my stepdad doesn't participate often. The rooms are a little small for two people, but other than that, I don't have any complaints with them. So far, everybody that I have spoken to has been really nice. They seem well informed.

The staff is outstanding. They are very attentive to my mother, they know how to engage her, and if ever there was an issue or a problem, they keep me informed routinely. The food is outstanding, and they have 24/7 access for me. They have singers that routinely come in, they have bingo pretty much on a daily basis, and they have different activities that are seasonal like making Valentine's that kind of thing. Every Friday, they go on outings. Sometimes it is just a ride in the van, sometimes it is shopping or sightseeing. They are very clean -- that was one of the first things I noticed when I entered it. It reminds me of a high-end hotel dorm setting. There are three floors, and they have common areas, a kitchenette on each end of the floor, and rooms off of the common areas, so they can sit and watch television out in the hall, they can participate in the common area and the kitchenette, they have an aviary where they have benches that are there, they have a bistro that is the restaurant, they have a separate conference room, dining room that if you ever wanted to have a party or something for your loved one, you could preserve that room, and they have a media room. The only thing I wish they had is a larger outdoor patio area for the residents.

The employees here really care, when I moved my husband in the girls all asked what he was interested in, what his favorite foods were, and if he had any type of daily routine that they could help to fit into his new living arrangement. He's been there a while now and is just happy as can be! I highly recommend this facility to everyone!

This place is awesome. The staff members are very nice and always took good care of my grandmother. She feels at home and when taken out she always asks when will she be back. She loves the activities they do and the food is absolutely delicious. I've eaten there a couple times. I would highly recommend the villas at sunset bay for a loved one.
