Shell Harbor Retirement felt like being on a cruise, but then you can just go back to your own house. It seemed like a good environment. I would live there myself. I liked how everybody was so nice. I liked the staff's knowledge of the facility and their joy for the facility. They believe in what they're doing. I think that they paid attention to detail when they were building the facility and wanted to provide the very best for the residents there. They had a gym, a very large dining room, a great theater, an outdoor fire pit, and even a pharmacy with pharmacists who would do individual packaging for each day's pill for free. It was just good.

Shell Harbor Retirement Community is wonderful. The only thing it lacks is a pool, and I would like to have a pool. It's always good for physical therapy and I have my name on the list for a bigger apartment I can take, but I saw the two-bedroom, and I need something bigger. I had lunch there one day, and the food was fine. They have the theater there, and if you want you can get together with other people and do things like, I play mahjong, or I play cards or something. But other than that I didn't see anything that caught my eye. The staff was wonderful. I would like the kitchen layout to be better, there is no room to put a little table. They showed a little table, but as you enter the kitchen and the apartment, it's not suitable.

I toured Shell Harbor Retirement, and by far, it's the best. The tour was very well organized. The people were very friendly, not just the staff that work there, but also the people who live there. We looked at a two-bedroom apartment, and it was by standards of two bedrooms. It was very spacious, and it had walk-in closets, which is a nice feature when you're moving into a place like that. Most of the other places we looked at did not have walk-in closets. They have a nice dining room. They have three meals a day. You could pick and choose obviously not to go to all three. You can have room service delivery of meals. It would be like living in a fine hotel where you have room service, and you can have valet parking if you want it. They can bring your car around when you want. It was a very positive tour. It's so new and everything was spiffy, painted, and shiny. It's raised for a level four category for hurricane, which is comforting. They have a big diesel generator to give them basic power that you would need if the power went out, so they thought of everything, and it's a well-designed place. We ate lunch there, and it was very good. We looked at the menus and they had very nice selections for lunch, dinner, and breakfast, and they're very well done.

I'm at Shell Harbor Retirement. It's a brand new facility. It offers very gracious community activities. It's well staffed. Excellent food is one of their specialties. There's a spacious kitchen and it's well equipped. The entire unit is brand new and meant to be comfortable with great closets. The only thing I'm sliding it on is the lack of a pool.

We toured Shell Harbor Retirement. It's very nice, brand new, nice-looking, and nice layout. The interior is beautiful. It does not have garages; it has carports. We looked at a two-bedroom. It was nicely laid out. Some had balconies, but the ones that we looked at did not have balconies. The staff was very good. They showed us around. It's a beautiful place. It has all the amenities. It does not have a swimming pool; that's the only amenity that they didn't have. They have three meals a day, and we don't think that we need three meals a day. They have plenty of activities. They have a theater room, and a church group was in there having some kind of meeting. They have movies in there at night. They have an exercise room. The place was very clean. The bedroom that we saw, no one had ever been there. It was brand new.
