I'm moving into Freedom Village Bradenton. The food is really fantastic. They're allowing me to have my two dogs, and I have a little villa with a backyard that I can take them out. They have a library, an indoor pool, water aerobics, nurse on-duty, and five restaurants. They only give you one meal a day, but you can go to any of the restaurants and buy food yourself. They have a lot of clubs, movies, they take you to theaters and restaurants, and they have a little bus they take everybody to. It's the nicest place I've seen of all of them. Everybody is so friendly and so helpful. My villa will have new appliances, a full kitchen, a large bedroom, and I'm able to take a lot of the furniture I already have.

Wow, what a great place to live. There are so many things to do that you have to pick and choose. The residents are all friendly and a delight to be with. The staff are very helpful and fun to be around. My children thank me for choosing Freedom Village as they know they don't have to worry and that I'm in good hands. I really love it here.

Freedom Village Bradenton is a top choice for me but you have to have money to go there since it's not cheap. It's luxurious and top-of-the-line. The salesperson was very personable. It's a buy-in and going to cost about $250,000 to move in, although I'm still considering them because it's that nice. They have three formal dining areas and a café. The food was good. They had a big auditorium where they were giving out flu shots. They had lectures, movies, a swimming pool, and exercise classes.

Freedom Village Brandenton was a good place. We looked at the pool, the library, the dining rooms, and the grounds. We were reasonably satisfied. Lunch was very satisfactory. They had three or four dining rooms. It was an open community without guards. We visited some friends before and participated in some of their activities. They had dances, shows, movies, art groups, card games, swimming, and outside activities like watching the opera and going shopping. The staff was extremely pleasant.

Freedom Village was just as nice as the other one I visited, but they had more activities. It was an older unit, but if I had gotten an apartment, they would strip it and make it brand new again. Their one-bedroom was much cheaper than the efficiency at the other place I visited. It was continuing care, and the fee was for the future when ehy would take you up to the nursing home. Even though you could not know if you would be using it, you had to pay in advance. The staff was very nice and very helpful. I ate at their restaurant, and the food was good. They had a sports bar, a little steak house, and three restaurants besides the main dining area.

I liked the location of Freedom Village. I liked the apartments, the food, and the activities. I liked everything about it except that you had to buy the apartment, and I did not want to do that.

Freedom Village is outstanding in every way. From the people we met there to the food, everything was outstanding; the physical environment is beautiful, and the quality of care seemed to be outstanding. It's excellent. They have a wide range of rooms, from studio to 2-bedroom/2-bathroom with extra small room as a den. The campus is 7 or 8 buildings. They have 3 resident buildings, each of them with its own dining room and its own staff. Everything is very modern and very up to date. They have everything, from political discussion groups, a swimming program, and all kinds of physical activities. It's a continuing care facility. So you're going as independent living, and if time comes when you need assisted living, it's there. The staff is highly qualified. And if you get into something deeper and you need more help, they have a memory care unit and a skilled nursing unit. The overall impression is elegance. The people there are an educated population and seem to be mentally and physically active. It's in Tampa, St. Petersburg, in Sarasota area, so you have a large variety of places you can go to do things, and they provide transportation and whatever else you need to get there.

We thought Freedom Village was a great place. The rooms are spacious and clean. Eleanor was very helpful, very kind, and she was wonderful. They offered to take time with my husband's parents and gave them a tour via FaceTime on an iPad. They were just very helpful and not pushy. They had anything you could possibly want to do. You wouldn't have to be idle for a moment. We would have liked them to move there. It looked a little bit aged, and some of the common areas had huge ceilings. There was some dust and cobwebs, but overall, it was clean and well maintained. I don't mean to say it wasn't. But other than that, the hallways and the rooms themselves were very clean and well maintained. It's a big campus.
