Balmoral Assisted Living took my mom, even though mom was not acceptable to them. But they went to visit her a few times in the nursing home that she was in and they couldn't leave her there. So, they did take her. For the last week of her life, they were awesome. They had her room fixed up like home. We felt she was much calmer, more comfortable, and more relaxed. It has a very homey atmosphere. We were able to spend time with her, and lay in bed with her. They were awesome. I would recommend this facility to anybody. The staff was very caring. Mom could not eat at that point, but they tried to cater to her, bringing her whatever they thought she might eat. I was very, very pleased with this facility.

Balmoral Assisted Living was very nice and very clean, but it was too far away and too expensive. The rooms were pretty. Their dining room looked very open, like a restaurant. We met two people there and they were both very friendly and very helpful.
They've got a lot of different things going on. They have the ability to take them to shopping if you need to or go to other places (they have a schedule for that). Also, they will have nurses that can come in and help my wife such as physical therapy.

New ownership very slow to communicate, phone system has not been working correctly for 6 weeks, lack of staff to help in emergencies. Beware of this place, my Mother almost died under their lack of care.

My wife and I stopped down at Balmoral Assisted Living for a tour. Everybody had their masks on, which I was glad to see, and then the lady took us around. They only had one room where she could show us at the time, but that gave us a good idea of what was going on.
She showed us through the courtyards where they had an activities director out there directing activities. The residents seemed happy and upbeat. Then we saw the recreation room and the dining room. Normally, they have restaurant-style seating in their big dining room, but with the COVID going on, they're serving all of their resident's meals in their rooms right now, and that made me feel very good too, because that means they were looking out for their residents.
The place also smelled clean. I didn't see anything that turned me off about the whole place. She gave me a brochure, then a folder with some information in it, some prices, and a calendar of their monthly activities. On our way out, there were a couple of old gentlemen, an old lady, and a woman sitting there. We just stopped and talked to them a little bit and they seemed very happy with all of this.
The people I met during the visit were just fantastic. The activities person was very nice and they were all very pleasant. The cleanliness impressed me as well. I've been into a nursing home before where the odor wasn't quite what it should be when you walked in, and this wasn't like that. This was nice and they were even decorating for fall. I was very impressed with what Balmoral Assisted Living showed me.

We went to Balmoral Assisted Living, and it was a good visit. The only reason we didn't go there was the other place only had 12 rooms for assisted living, so it's a lot smaller than this place. I figured that a smaller facility will be a little bit more hands-on for my father. The staff was very good, and the cleanliness was good. I can't say anything bad about it at all. The only reason we went the other way was the size. The room we looked at was just plain, and it had a closet and a bathroom. They were like dorm rooms, but they were nice and clean and you put your furniture in.

My Dad moved in last week. We are very pleased with the transition process. Darlene, has been there every step of the way to answer our questions and to take our calls or texts anytime. We live out of state so we wanted to make sure we had a perfect fit for dad, which we do with Balmoral.
Thank you to all the staff members who are working in these hard times caring for our loved ones.

My brother lives at Balmoral. He has for 10 months. I live in CA. and not able to visit as much as I would like. The staff has been amazing in setting up FaceTime visits (my brother is not computer savvy) He always seems so happy when I speak with him. I would highly recommend Balmoral!

Very homey feeling when you walk in. Everyone is so friendly. I felt like I was family. I am looking for my dad later on down the road and this place is THE PLACE when the times comes.

I lived at Balmoral Assisted Living from mid-January until Monday. It's very clean and has a beautiful courtyard. They have excellent, delicious food with many selections on the menu to choose from. They had three or four different entrees and three or four vegetables, a soup, a fruit, and a salad. The food was just great and fantastic, and there were lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. They had a lot of activities and a calendar -- which was published every month. They had card and board games, crafts, and beading to make necklaces and bracelets, and there was a room with a very large, almost movie-screen-sized television, with a lot of different DVDs and tapes of movies. You could play your own movie in there. They also have music come in. The staff was very nice, and I loved the activities director because she's very nice, and she'd come to my room to see if I was up to playing a game and helped take me to the game room if I wanted to go.

I went to Balmoral down in Lake Placid. It was a very nice place. If I had it my way, I would have had her over there. From the outside, it looks like an old extended stay or something. I saw one room and it was really small, like a hotel room but smaller, but it’s liveable and very pretty. The staff member was very nice. He spent a lot of time with me, and was very helpful and honest.

We visited Balmoral Assisted Living for my son. Everybody there was nice. It was a nice facility. The rooms were fine. Everything was fine other than the shared shower and bathtub. The rooms weren't spacious, but they were sufficient. Also, they have a library, and they have bingo and movies. The location was good too.

Balmoral was very nice. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The rooms that we looked at had kitchenettes, a sink, a microwave, and a fridge in them, which was important to us. They had shopping trips and activities. I liked the friendliness of the place.

We chose Balmoral Assisted Living because my daughter can have her little dog and she can keep her vehicle. My daughter has a lot of handicaps. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Regarding accommodation, it was a very nice room. It was a little bit smaller than I wanted it to be, but it will be sufficient. Their dining room was very nice. Also they have a laundry room where you can wash your own clothes or they will wash them. They have a media room, a crafts room, and a small physical therapy room. They have two outdoor enclosed areas. They have two dining rooms. They have transportation that will take you to and from shopping and doctor's visits. I like it because it was close to me, so I could visit really easy. I thought the living environment was super, I wouldn't mind going there myself. Everybody was very friendly and open. I would recommend this community to others.

I did visit Balmoral Assisted Living but I realized that I'm a bit too young for this type of facility. It looked boring to me. The facility was quite beautiful. The young lady who I spent two hours with was wonderful, cheerful, and nice. She was just terrific. During my visit, they hinted that they had some younger residents but I didn't see anyone under 80. They also made a special exception for me to bring my cats. However, their rooms were just ridiculous. The one they showed me was only 140-square feet and to live in it for the rest of your life with four cats. It's just not going to happen.
