My mother was in The Nursing Center at Mercy for about a month. For the most part, the staff was professional, caring, and accommodating. There were some assistants who kind of had an attitude and didn't really want to help as much. I had to call them several times to get them to come take care of her needs, but that was maybe a small percentage of the staff. The place was fine. My mother was happy there and liked the food. It was clean and older, but they're remodeling it now.

The staff are great help during the week, but not so much on the weekends with very poor response time on weekends. It is very hard to communicate with nurses because of language differences as most only spoke spanish or have such a strong accent we are unable to understand what they are asking. None of the nurses spoke clear english and frustrated my mother who could not understand them. My mother loves to be outside so it was a plus that they offer an outside seating area. They also have a nice recreation room with daily activities. The food is always on time and hot and they make sure to remove the trays right away too. All in all it's very clean with friendly faces to greet you.
