Family Relative
October 23, 2022
Residents just walk around in circles. There are no activities as advertised, they just sit in the big room with nothing to do. Someone stole something from my relative's room, and they didn't care until they were told we were going to get the authorities involved, then amazingly it was found. The food is horrible and nothing like they had said and shown on their Facebook page. We ended up taking my relative out. This place is horrible.
What activities do the residents enjoy? No activities at all.
What amenities does the community offer? No amenities
What are the rooms like? My relative slept in a wet bed for a couple days and had to be told to help change the bed.

Windermere Memory Care was very good. The administrator is wonderful, letting us see the cameras in the rooms and stuff, explaining procedures and policies regarding COVID, and assuring us. They had activities and good food. It is a secured facility, and we like having a secured facility. The facility was very clean and very well kept. The people seemed happy. We didn't see any active activities going on, but it looked like a very good facility. They have a decent parking lot. We just fell in love with it the first time.

My cousin is in Windermere Memory Care. I've been calling and it's hard to get them because they don't have phones in their rooms. For some reason, they don't want to have phones. They tried to tell me that they can't afford it because it's an old building, but it's not an old building. It looks new. She tells me that they treat her nice. She has a nice, private room for herself. The people who work there seem to be really nice even though half the time she can't remember them. The food looked pretty good. She used to watch TV in the big lounge with everybody, but not anymore, and I had to buy her her own TV. They have to buy their own furniture and everything. I went in there a couple of times a week, and I didn't see them doing anything with them. She would just be in her room. So far, he's not dirty and not stinking. The staff seemed nice. I saw her eating, and she ate every bit of it. The facility was clean. There are no phone calls coming in and out unless something goes wrong. They called me when she stopped responding and when she caught COVID, but if I call, nobody answers the phone at the front desk. It's not the worst place though. There's probably a place worse than that one.
