About This Community

Independence Hall is not only stately and charming on the outside, with beautifully manicured lawns, gardens and gazebos, but it is warm and pleasing inside as well. It has all the comforts of home including a pet-friendly policy that lets you bring your whole family with you.

Plus, at Independence Hall, we offer each resident just the right blend of self-sufficiency and assistance as needed. It is unique, as Marrinson Senior Care Residences realizes that our clients want to stay settled as long as possible. As a licensed assisted living facility, we are able to provide an independent lifestyle while offering catered services as our resident's needs change allowing for less disruption and more peace of mind. Residents decide how independent they want to be and what their life will look like in this next chapter. We call it Independent Plus.

Independent Living:

This is the most independent level of care. Our communities in this level cater to active, healthy adults interested in handing off the chores associated with owning a home, while having access to activities they enjoy. Residents are as active and self-sufficient as they choose. Our independent living staff members are always hard at work designing fun and engaging activities ranging from computer classes, gardening, exercise groups, poker games, happy hours, holiday celebrations and more. Community outings and activities are also an option for our independent residents. Want to get away on your own? Scheduled chauffeured transportation can also be arranged. Chef-prepared meals with friends in our beautifully-appointed dining rooms are the perfect end to the day. While our residents at this level are by definition independent, we do provide medication supervision for those who need it and restroom facilities are safety-engineered to help keep our residents safe.

Assisted Living:

For those residents who need a higher degree of assistance, Assisted Living staff help residents with basic daily tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming. The Marrinson Senior Care Assisted Living Residences provides this and much more such as housekeeping, laundry, a beauty salon, assistance with appointments and three chef-prepared meals a day. All the comforts of home with none of the work. Our Assisted Living residents choose from a multitude of options when it comes to recreation, social and therapeutic activities, all specially designed for this level of care.

I have a loved one who who is a resident at Independence Hall and I truly feel at ease knowing she is in the care of loving staff like Julianna. She is an exceptional physical therapist with a good spirit and a wonderful bedside manner. It is a really clean environment (they just had new carpets installed!) and the maintenance and house cleaning crews keep the rooms and communal areas very clean. That is important in South Florida! There is a great chef, too! One thing I love are the opportunities my aunt has to remain as active as she has always been. She really enjoys the activities the staff organizes especially, exercise activities, happy hours, meals out at local restaurants, and shopping excusions. Personally, the residence is nearby my home and I am able to visit frequently, which makes me happy, and their admin department is always so kind when I call or visit. Nice job!

Independence Hall appeared to be clean and organized, and the people were friendly. There was nothing unusual; it was a clean and well-attended-to place. The staff people were friendly, nice, and informative. I was impressed.

Independence Hall was very grand and very pretty. It is more of a formal atmosphere, but it’s only good if you are only looking at assisted living because they don’t have a secure part. They say they do have some little exercises to help people with their memory, but they do not have any locked facility part. One lady who had lived there for 4 years was just fine, but she got on the bus one day and rode it to her old home, so they had to tell her family that they could no longer have her there. They gave them referrals for another part that she needed to go to that would be more secure. It’s a 2-story building. It has brick and white with columns on the front porch. Everything about it was nice. The rooms were very nice, and it looked like their dining room was nice. They had piano music playing in the lobby. It had a nice sweeping staircase where you could overlook from the lobby. It had a really nice porch that went all the way across the back with rocking chairs sitting on it, and it overlooked the canal. Their food service was beautiful, and they had nice food. I wouldn’t mind living there myself.
