Dad moved into the Heritage Oaks of Englewood. He's getting really good hands-on care for the level of care that he needs. The place is very comfortable for him, nice-sized rooms, nice-sized bath area also, and it's relatively new, it's only about four years old. It's very nice. The staff is very hands-on and they communicate well with me to let me know how he's doing, typically once a week, and I really like them a lot. They have bingo at least three times a week, they also have a gym/rehab center now that they just opened for the residents, they have a cafeteria which is open at two different seatings three times a day, so that's really good. They can choose what seating they want.

Visiting Heritage Oaks of Englewood and speaking to Chris has been very pleasant. It was a very nice community, that's why I signed up for it. Everyone was pleasant and every question I asked was answered appropriately. I was very satisfied.
They have a very nice theater there. I haven't been to the library but they have one. I just looked in the doorway and it looked substantial. The dining room is lovely and they explained to me that the menu is listed every day on these monitors in the hallways and it was very nice. Everything was explained to me beautifully.
It's assisted living and they're going to be taking over my medication.

My tour at Heritage Oaks was fine. I saw the facilities and the accommodations they have. I didn't see that many people there. They had activity rooms, and nobody was in them. They were just a few people sitting around in wheelchairs. The other thing is I found it expensive. Since you have to buy your own furniture, it makes it even more expensive. It's a very nice and huge place. They have a studio, a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom. They have four or five different accommodations, but it starts with a studio. The staff was fine and honest enough up front, and we got along just fine. The staff was nice. They have a library, an exercise roon, and a very nice dining room. It's very spacious and quite new.

I saw the Heritage Oaks of Englewood. It was a very good tour. Everybody there was very friendly. The residents of the place looked happy and content like they wanted to be there. The studio apartment was a little small, but the building itself was designed very nicely. It was very clean. They had a very nice dining area, they had a patio, and there are flowers all around the building. It was very pretty.

Our experience is going very well. They provide an excellent variety of activities. The level of care by the staff is excellent. They provide transportation to doctor's offices as well as weekly grocery shopping. The three meals they provide offer variety and the food is very good. I'm pleased. My mom's room is very nice. The place is relatively new and fresh which is very appealing. There are many common areas that have more than adequate seating as well as television. They have open spaces for cooking, card games, and bingo. It's very well laid out and it's not too big or too small. My mom has housekeeping, laundry, and assistance with showering twice a week if she would like.

My husband and I had dinner with my mother last night and it was delicious. Service was fast, food was hot and portions were just right. My mother has been there since they opened and she has liked every meal she has. Bravo to the chef.
