In addition to daily activities, we also take regular scheduled outings to nearby places of interest in Delray Beach, Boca Del Mar, and West Palm Beach.

My mothers quality of life is better now than it has been in several years. When I call she tells me about the friends she's made while enjoying the activities and how she loves eating with her circle of friends in the dining room. Before Sunrise, she was rarely around her peers outside of a doctors office waiting room. The folks leading this operation communicate with me regularly and have done an outstanding job of making my mother feel at home.

If you are not near by, please make sure you can connect with your loved one and that you are not forced into not doing so. Getting to a loved one is not easy. The plus plus care is not meeting our expectations as promised. The facility looks like they need more resources. It is certainly not lively , it seems cold and distant. The upper mgt does not engage in empathy. They bark orders at the staff and don't understand that this is a loved one and not a person to be put in their place by a person in upper management. When I rated the staff two stars, that is meant for the exec dir and not the non exempt staff members. Try other places first.

I toured Sunrise of Boynton Beach for my husband, and I got the impression that he would get more attention. I know the flowers are pretty, the furniture is pretty, and all of that, but I'm mainly interested in him getting the best care possible. He needs a lot of care, so I'm at the point where I don't even know if assisted living is the proper placement for him. He would need a high level of care. The one who assisted me was named Matthew, and he was very thorough. He answered all my questions, and I probably have more questions that I didn't think of, but I'm sure he would have answered them too. He was very forthright, and he did a good job of showing us the facilities and what they could do. The place is pristine, and the grounds are beautifully kept.
