I like Discovery Village At Boynton Beach, that was pretty nice. It's like living on a cruise ship, it's nice, and it's been newly renovated. There's entertainment every night, you get two meals a day, and it's got a nice 1-bedroom apartment or 2-bedroom apartment. They have very nice facilities, and the staff seems friendly. They had a good presentation in the lunchroom with flowers on every table, linens, so I couldn't think of anything bad about the place. The person that gave the tour was personable, knowledgeable, he's been there some time and he was able to explain and answer questions that I had. When I was there, they were having lunch at that time so it was pretty much crowded, and they didn't offer a meal. The room was like a hotel. They had a pool, they had a barbershop, they have a beauty salon, and they have a gym. They have a huge lobby and there's always a pot of coffee for visitors and residents.

I visited Discovery Village and they're in the middle of remodeling. The swimming pool has to be redone, but they showed us the rooms that were done over, and they looked very nice. They're redoing the lobby and a lot of things there. The outside was OK and nothing special, it's a much bigger place, and much older place than the other one I visited. It looked clean. I would give them a four for the apartments that were redone, the new apartments that I would be getting. The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice. I guess they have to redo it and bring it up to par. It was OK, nothing was wrong with it. It looked a little too old for me, the crowd, but I could be wrong. I didn't see that many people, but you age in place. If you needed a need or something like that, they have that right there, you wouldn't have to go to the assisted living, you could stay.

Discovery Village of Boynton Beach was very nice. It was being renovated. They're very nice facilities with beautiful apartments. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. The rooms were beautiful, modern, updated, spacious, and very, very nice. The pool is being renovated, but there seems to be a lot of nice activities. They're still updating things, so their elevator still needs updating.

I liked Discovery Village At Boynton Beach. They were in the midst of redoing and adding on. The rooms were very nice, and the apartments were quite spacious. They're putting in hardwood flooring, stainless steel kitchens, and fresh paint. It was a very thorough visit. The staff was very accommodating and the sales manager was very good. The lunch was disappointing. The food was not even the quality of a diner. It was owned by Brookdale before they took it over. There were amenities and they're improving upon them. They had a swimming pool, exercise rooms, and different classes and lectures. They had enough for everybody and for me to do and to socialize.

I think Brookdale North Boynton Beach was wonderful. We had a very good tour. The place was very nice, very clean, and very organized. They gave us all the information we needed. We were very happy with them. They showed us a 2-bedroom and a 1-bedroom. The community was very pleasant, and I think it was very good for the people there; however, for our personality, I think the people were a little bit older than us.

Brookdale North Boynton Beach is absolutely the most beautiful and the most accommodating with all of their activities for seniors, they have transportation, they have laundry done every Friday for you, and you go to the dining room for breakfast and for evening dinner, which is all taken out of your rent each month, and it is very nice. I cannot rave enough about the staff. They are well-trained, very respectful, and conscientious to your needs. I just had a problem the other day with something, and they were here within half an hour. My apartment is one of the largest that Brookdale offers. I have a very large living room, a dinette area, and then my bedroom, which is a very large room with sliding glass doors, and sliding glass doors in my living room. We have a beautiful brand new swimming pool and an up-to-date library. The food is like gourmet cooking. I am getting more than enough of what I am paying for.

I visited several places, but Brookdale North Boynton Beach is better for what I wanted and gave me some incentives to move in. The staff is very good and is one of the best parts of it. The food is not good but not bad, like diner food. It's buffet style for breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, and oatmeal or cereal. They have a salad bar with pasta salad, turkey salad, and chicken salad. I'm in a studio apartment which is good. They have lectures, singers, entertainers, and movies every evening.

Brookdale North was very well-kept, and it was a beautiful facility. The apartments were very spacious, they had very large patios, everything was screened in and beautifully maintained, and it was a lovely place. The staff was very nice, and the residents seemed happy. What made this one stand out was how spacious the apartments were and how well-maintained everything was. There was nothing that looked shoddy or looked like it needed work or repair; it was all kept in tip top shape. They just did a beautiful job there.

The rooms at Newport Place were not tiny -- but smaller than what I like -- and I will have to get rid of some furniture. I visited their dining area, and it was pleasant. They have a gym, they have social affairs, and they also will drive you to a doctor's visit.

I would highly recommend The Pointe at Newport Place's independent living facility. It's beautiful. It looked like the food was good, and it looked like they paid attention to their food as well. The rooms were beautiful, and they had balconies in their independent living. From all the facilities I've visited, this is the best for my mother.

Newport Place was very nice. It is one that I might consider. The apartments were very nice; they had two-bedroom units with two baths. The staff was very accommodating.

My wife and I are going into the independent part of The Pointe at Newport Place. The facility is very nice and beautiful. They have beautiful outside areas, a lovely pool, and a wonderful movie theater. They also have a wonderful dining area. They usually have five choices for entrees every night. From what I have seen, everyone is wonderful. They have a very cordial and warm staff, so I can't ask for anything more.

Newport Place was beautiful and they had entertainment. It was sparkling clean and it had no smell. The people were very friendly and they were kind to all the patients. They weren’t snappy. The rooms were nice and spacious. I didn’t chose it for my dad because my dad would have been at the end of this long hallway.

The staff here were fantastic and really took an interest in my aunt's personality, above and beyond her care. They helped her connect with people and activities suited to her interests, and were sure to treat her as a fully capable person. The support they provided was remarkable. The activities planned helped to keep her active and allowed her to meet new people and create her own support network. One of her favorites was the book club which I believe met weekly. She also really appreciated the full kitchen available and the opportunity to cook at least one meal a day. Breakfast and dinner were provided, but knowing that she could continue to cook (one of her passions) really helped sell the facilities to her. She was also allowed to keep her dog, which I know was a great source of comfort to her. Furthermore, the grounds were beautiful and spacious and provided incentive for them to walk around often.

This is a personal favorite of mine and my mom is giving great consideration to this place as well. This is a nice place, not brand new but has original condos. This has the nicest, beautiful apartments with full kitchen. This is off the main highway so it's quiet. The grounds have beautiful landscaping; you can take a walk anytime and be safe. Since this facility has a full kitchen in each room, it only offers two meals every day; breakfast and dinner. You can either cook or pay an extra of $5 for the meal. Some services they offer to their residents are cleaning the apartment once a week, providing transportation, etc. They also prepare at least ten to fifteen activities per day and organized clubs for those who have similar interests. Examples of the clubs are men's club and book's club that meet every week. You can also bring your pet in this facility. However, I wish they offered three meals every day and has more parking space.
