The most unfriendly staff I have ever observed. The dining room staff is the worst. The poor residents have to wait so long to get their food and many times they don’t get what they choose. The kitchen staff argues with them. The facilities are fine. It’s just the most unfriendly and uncaring staff.

My mother lived at Willow Brook in Boca Raton in the nursing facility. She lived there
for 2 years. She had dementia. As time went
on it got worse and worse. The directors
never answered phone calls, even when you
left a message they never returned your calls.
They had extended lunch periods. When you
had a question they would walk right by you,
they did not want to be bothered. My mother was losing the ability to walk with a walker. They pushed her to continue to walk even when she couldn't. She had essential tremor
and no one would help her eat. So they gave
her wraps to hold, but she couldn't do that.
She fell from the walker and broke her hip, and then went to the hospital for an operation. After that she declined terribly.
Not one director ever came in to see how she
was doing. When I saw the Director of nursing she walked by me. My mother had a horrible
death, I felt hopeless and disgusted and totally disappointed that I trusted Willowbrook in Boca. I live in a 55 and older
community with plenty of senior and I would
never recommend your facility to anybody.
My grade for your facility would graded an F

I LOVE Willowbrooke Court of St Andrews. I have worked in Long Term Care since 1987 as an Occupational Therapist & therefore have been in & worked in over 50 ALF's & Nursing Homes in Florida. I researched several places & admitted my Dad there in April 2016. He received AWESOME care by ALL staff. The Charge Nurse, Carol was EXCELLENT! Carol would stop in daily to see me & give me a full report about my Dad. Carol always took the time to meet with me & to make sure my Dad was getting the best care possible. My Dad's daily nurse, Kathy LPN did above & beyond her job to meet my Dad's needs. She was always so loving to my Dad. My Dad adored her & her dog (Kathy brought in her dog with her to work & my Dad was a huge dog lover so he always loved seeing Edison, Kathy's dog.) I can't tell you how many times I cried at the facility (just seeing my sweet Dad declining due to his polycystic disease) & how Carol, Kathy, CNA's, Cafe Staff, SW, ADON & all the staff would come & give me a hug & comfort me. They truly are the BEST! The CNA were remarkable with their AMAZING hands on service they loving gave my Dad each day. My Dad at times could be very agitated & the CNA"s always treated him with love & respect. Prior to my Dad coming to Willowbrooke he had been living on 3-4 Ensures plus a 1/2 bowl of soup per day, At Willowbrooke he LOVED the food & ate every meal. During each meal he sat with other residents & staff & was completely engaged. Catherine in activities was AWESOME & got my Dad to participate in all activities. I was at the facility at least once a day, normally 2 times per day to see my Dad....I never smelled any type of order, the place was always cleaned & ALL residents were very well taken care of. If there was ever a call light on any CNA passing by would stop in to assist the resident. Residents were up & out of there rooms & engaged with staff &/or activities. The Staff is truly AMAZING! I HIGHLY HGIHLY recommend Willowbrooke. My Dad has since gone to be with The Lord. I love Willowbrooke so much even though my Dad had already passed away I made sure to go up during the State Survey so I could give an EXCELLENT report to State & share how awesome, loving & amazing Willowbrooke Staff is. If any of my loved ones every need a nursing home, without a doubt I would pick Willowbrooke Court at St. Andrews!

My husband is in this nursing home. Today, September 13, I called nursing station at 9 am, but somebody picked up telephone only at 11. I ask about my husband and she told me that he is sleeping because he did not sleep all night. Why? She did not know.i asked her to move telephone to his bed that I could talk to him later. I called later, he pick up telephone but practically could not talk. It was strange because he is very cheerful person. On my question what is going on he said that he is in a very bad shape. Knowing that he never complains and yesterday I left him in good shape I understood that something bad happened. I rushed there and what I found:
He was sitting on the bed, his leg were raised above his head and head was in vertical position, some kind of sandwich..
He hardly could breath and talk.
In this position he was sitting on his sore pressure point.
He was touched that way! Why ?
This is the story.
At night the sore point bother him, he called for help, but nobody showed up. He tried to changed position himself, moved his legs and slipped on the floor.he is 102 years old, exhausted from two days diarrhea ( reaction on new medication), he could not help himself. He was lying naked on the floor under air conditioner, which is next to his bad. He was there all night.
In the morning they found him and put into the bed as I described above. Why in such awful position? The answer is: that he would not be able to change his position again.
Everything sound almost unreal but it happened today with my husband and I want that people knew what could happened at this place. Be on the alert!

My mom is currently in Willowbrook. She was living at the adjacent St Andrews independent living. We had an expectation of excellence for this entire campus, but have been very disappointed. There are some great people employed at Willowbrook that really care, however their position does not allow them to make some administrative decisions. The hesd administration is detached, many times are disorganized, and mostly nod, smile, may say yes, but nothing gets done or done well.

Willowbrooke Court at St Andrews is a skilled nursing facility. My mother is really unhappy, and it is supposed to have a very good reputation. I may want to move her out because she wants a single room, and I can't afford a single room. She gets Medicaid, her social security, and her veteran's benefits. A single room would be a lot of money out of pocket, and I can't give that to her. She hates it there, so I might to move her into something else. I keep telling her that this facility has a good rating, but she is very unhappy because she wants a single room. The facility is absolutely wonderful. It is beautiful and lovely inside. They have lots of aides, nurses, and doctors on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week. The sanitation is beautiful and very clean. It is luxurious.
