Unlucky me I been sent to this hospital a few times. I had no choice. At this time I had no insurance so boy I got monster bills. The few times I was there I was not even given much help just a yes and shipped out and a bill . I was very sick that means no work and also was single. I lived with family. I asked for help with the bills but was not looked at for help because I did not have a kid at that time. I told them guess I need to have a kid. Every time I got these huge bills I asked for help and I got a no. They then told me I did not ask for help after it went to collections and a to bad. It went to collections. Finally I am able to pay a little at a time because I am on disabilty. I have done this for years now I called again a few times and asked to have them bring down the bill I still get a no or only 7% off paid all today. Its a wow. How many people had just walked away and not paid a penny? This is the only hospital that has done this to me. I have paid every pass do doc and other hospital bills because they worked with me. The bill department is hard core. Bottom line is cash. They forget that people went there because they where sick or hurt. If your broke or do not have insurance stay away in my opion.

The nurses and CNA' s did a great job. I have had my parents in this hospital three times. My concern each time is that the hospitalist Dr. assigned wanted to discharge my parents each time without the requested specialist seeing them or consulting with them.. I had to insist on it and the specialist each time said they needed treatment and did not discharge them. I'm not sure if I would use this hospital again because we haven't had a good hospitalist Dr. yet. The covering hospitalist Dr.on the weekend was rude and uncaring and said I was trying to keep my parent in the hospital and she wasn't going to get any better when I said the specialist had ordered tests and were monitoring her. The ER was good.

My mother is now at Florida Hospital Altamonte being treated for pneumonia and a blood infection, this is after she was taken to CFRH for the same symptoms two weeks ago. There she was given oxygen and sent back home. Why bother? They did nothing to find the source of the problem. While there gave her an antibiotic that she had a back reaction to and it took several attempts to get it stopped.
