I liked my tour of Seashore Senior Living. It was very clean and open, and they were very friendly. The main problem we have with why we're not going with it was the pricing. Their rooms were very nice and very clean, they update them after every person leaves, so everything was fresh and new. The staff who gave the tour was very pleasant, introduced us to a couple of people, showed us everything we wanted to see, and took his time. He was very nice. Their dining area seemed very clean and very nice although we weren't there for any meals. They also had a pool, and a garden outside, they even had chickens, and the building itself was pretty nice.

I liked Seashore Senior Living very much, but my mom refused to go into an assisted living facility. The gentleman that runs the place was very nice. He offered me a good price. They had a beautiful backyard and a swimming pool. They had chickens that you could feed. It was very interesting. It was very nice there. It was very clean. The apartments that my mom could go into were very nice. They had a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a little living/TV room. Everyone that I talked to was very nice. I know they had closed down at one time and had re-opened with a new owner. It looked like he is doing a good job.

We toured Seashore Senior Living. It was very nice and they were very pleasant, but it's a little bit small for my sister. She needs to be pushed to get out and meet people and do things. We saw a potential room where she'd have a roommate but they each had their own bedroom and bath. They had a game room, they had other activities she could do, and they had a bus that takes them places. Their amenities were fine and the dining room seemed nice. I had no complaints, it was very clean.

Seashore Senior Living is very warm, welcoming, and friendly. I feel safe here. Whenever I have a need, they help me. They are very accommodating and very friendly. My apartment is a fairly good size. I have a living room, a little kitchenette area, a bedroom, and a good-sized bathroom with a shower. It's a very nice apartment.
They provide three meals a day and they have activities every hour or so during the day. Right now, they're doing yoga, and in the afternoon, there will be some coloring and bingo games. They keep the people pretty busy here if they want to. When there is a problem, they're right on it. My air conditioner wasn't working one time and the next day they were there and replaced it. It's now working fine. It's just remodeled and it's all pretty clean. For the money, I think I'm getting what I pay for.

My mother will be moving into Seashore Senior Living. It's a beautiful facility. The staff told us that if we booked a room for her by the end of May, it would be $1999 a month, and she would be locked into that price for as long as she was there. That's pretty impressive, so I jumped on it because she can afford it. I took her to see it, and she liked it. We decided to go ahead and do that. It was clean, and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. They have their own moving company, so I have somebody that can come and move her.
They grow their own fruits and vegetables, and they have their own chickens, so they have farm fresh eggs. I was just very impressed with it. She has the studio apartment for $1999, but it's just perfect for her. It's got a little kitchenette, its own bathroom, and a bedroom/living area. It's not anything large. They showed us an apartment where it had a living area, the bedroom was separate, and then there was a restroom separate from that, but those were more a month.
The studio is all she needs, and she has macular degeneration, so she can't see very well. They put her on the first floor near the dining hall, so it's not far for her to walk to get her meals. I thought that was very nice and very helpful. The rooms were nice. They have different-sized rooms. You can share a room or you can have your own room. I guess the price goes by what size room you get, but all she needed was just the basic room and the price was what got us because that's what she can afford.
They mentioned that the price includes laundry and housekeeping. They have exercise classes in the morning that they can attend, they have games throughout the day, and they have a pool in the back. My mom did ask about church services because she's a churchgoer, but they haven't yet found somebody to come in and do that and they're working on it. She said eventually they'll have a church service on a Sunday and then they have a bus that will take them shopping. They can take them to their appointments if we wish. There were a lot of really good add-ons and pluses. I have not tried the meals, but they told me that they do farm-to-table and it's very healthy.
We jumped at this one because of the price and normally, you can't get into an assisted living at that price. When she told me, I had to repeat it three times because I wasn't sure I was hearing it right, but she has to lock into it by the end of May, and then that's the price she will pay for as long as she stays here. Plus, it's 5 minutes from my house, so I won't have to go far.
