The owner LOUISE has a very nasty side and not appropriate when dealing with sick patients and their family. The RNS are below par, not professional, do not care and do not follow COVID guidelines. I would never recommend this agency.

After triple bypass I had the most wonderful nurse come to my home, Carolyn Booker, from AmeriCare. She was calm when I was in distress, knowledgeable and always on time. She was life saver and I will always be grateful for her and her agency services. Thank you for being with me!!!

I lost all trust in this home health agency when they decided it was best to only do two dressing changes per week, while I was against it because I’ve tried it in the past. After two weeks of this, I lost about 3 months of skin healing progress. I then decided that I had to do it three times a week, but Americare refused to do it. Next, they limited my visits to 6 total hours a week. Which isn’t enough time to finish two dressing changes. My nurse had to leave halfway through a dressing change due to the time being up. I found that to be unproffesional, but it wasn’t her fault. Another time my pharmacist needed to get another blood test on a Friday, but Kristen told her that was no way they would send someone out until Monday. Which my pharmacist has in writing. I ended up having to go to the ER. I was extremely dehydrated and they told me I was septic. We could have caught this sooner if my blood was drawn earlier than it was. Overall, the nurses aren’t the problem. It was ownership/management that needs to blamed. They care more about scheduling that what the patient needs. They decided to drop me as a patient because they “were short staffed”. So be careful they might drop you like a red headed step child. My advice is to use another home health agency.
